Hello there! In my work, I take the journey with clients, walking with them during times of difficulty and discomfort until they're able to discover more peace and stability within. I have specific training in trauma, mindfulness, and play therapy. I have experience working with specific traumatic events such as: grief, divorce, abuse, family life events and exposure to substance use and domestic violence. Whether I am working with children, adolescents, or adults, I create a safe space for clients to grow, discover their own inner strengths, and foster deep healing.

I believe crisis is part of living.How each of us survives and potentially grows from our times of life crisis, emotional trauma or injury , will shape who we are and how we approach our life path.Prior to beginning private practice, I spent 35 years as clinical supervisor and director of the Alachua County Crisis Center, I counseled individuals, couples and families as they struggled on their life journeys... Dealing with relationship issues, loss of loved ones, facing traumatic pasts and uncertain futures have often led to feelings of despair, anxiety , hopelessness ,depression and a sense of isolation and disconnection.

The couples, individuals, and families I work with bring a myriad of issues including communication differences, sex and sexuality, life transitions, anxiety, multicultural issues, trauma, ADHD, eating disorders, and depression. Being able to come alongside to help them live to their full potential with complete freedom from roadblocks and mental/emotional issues is my passion. I do this through teaching emotional, body and mind awareness, everyday coping strategies, and working through some of the areas where they may be feeling "stuck."
