I am passionate about helping children, teenagers and adults process and heal from difficult life experiences. For several years I have been working with people of all ages who have experienced trauma as a trained EMDR clinician. I am also a Registered Play Therapist and help children process and express themselves through developmentally appropriate therapeutic play. With children, I utilize the evidenced-based practice of Play Therapy along with EMDR Therapy. I know how devastating the experience of trauma can be to individuals and their families, and I can help navigate the process of healing.
When we work together, we will identify how trauma has impacted your life. We will work to understand how your brain has interpreted traumatic experiences and how your inner child is currently triggered by those experiences. We may use a combination of modalities, including EMDR, inner-resource strengthening, and Attachment Focused Trauma Therapy.
Ultimately, I will help you get to a place where you feel safe, calm, and regulated so you can tap into the existing competent person you are. I believe you have everything inside of you that you need to heal. My job is to help bring those parts out and strengthen them.
