I have expertise in the areas of family and marriage, relationships, depression, PTSD, stress management, grief and trauma as well as individual and couple issues. I am a certified Traumatologist and a certified Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist. I traveled to New York City to assist families impacted by the 9/11 attacks and have assisted in local and regional tragedies. I am also available for workshops, seminars, and trainings for agencies, organizations and businesses needing employee development.

I'm most passionate about working with people as they tackle anxiety disorders. I support clients who feel overwhelmed and confused by an internal sense of discord. Anxiety often creates difficulty developing and expressing an authentic sense of self, and low self-esteem both of which can significantly hinder a person's ability to engage comfortably in their life.

We practice in an integrated practice setting to provide targeted medication-assisted treatment (MAT) intended to alleviate symptoms of withdrawal, reduce cravings, and effectively diminish the compulsion to use substances that individuals often face. Each individual in our care has the benefit of a professional team of licensed providers including board-certified physicians, licensed therapists, and licensed case managers. We provide a “whole-patient” approach to treating substance use disorders.

Relationships are hard. What shouldn't be hard is finding someone you can talk about your problems with. I am passionate about helping my clients to heal and move on from difficult parts of their lives. I can provide you with support during difficulties with your partner, trouble at work, or daily stressors.

I became a Marriage and Family Therapist because I enjoy processing with individuals and listening to personal journeys to find a resolution. I was a High School performance art major and find this skill set benefical in providing supports through visual cues using various therapeutic approaches and modalities. I specialize in working with children and families in child welfare. I enjoy working with young children and teens as these are challenging developmental years, trauma and distress from systemic and familial patterns of behaviors, coupled with low parenting, coping, decision-making and problem-solving skills.

My training and background would most benefit are those experiencing difficulty in their relationships with their children, parents, spouses, co-workers or other significant people in their lives; those whose anxiety or depression is holding them back, and those who are willing to work to reach their true potential.

My experience of almost 20 years within the Mental Health field enables me to offer effective outpatient, individualized, mental health care. I counsel individuals with a number of mental health disorders, and provide a neutral ground to individuals, families, and couples.

My clients are often having difficulty with managing experiences of abuse/neglect, trauma and lack of access to effective social support systems. These challenges often manifest as difficulty managing emotions, declining grades, difficulty adjusting to new environments, difficulty maintaining relationships that are important to them and with developing new relationships, as influenced by regression in social/emotional development that may complicate their transition into and through adulthood.
