You've already tried your best to deal with the issue yourself, but you're thinking it's really not working anymore. Therapy is often the last-ditch effort to get help. That’s ok! What matters is that you’re ready to try. Therapy is a place to have someone listen without judgment, and get guidance and support to get you thru whatever is in the way to your happiness. The most important part of therapy is connecting with your therapist - I hope to make that easier by offering you a no-strings-attached 20-min call to see if you think we can work together, and we’ll go from there.

Hi there, I'm Hayne. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor providing both in-person and Telehealth sessions. For 20 years, I've loved working with every angle of the family. If you looked at my schedule on any given day, you'd probably see a few married couples, some exhausted and burnt-out parents, a college student, a 4th-12th grader, someone having an affair, someone who has been crushed by a loss or a person who is wrestling through their attraction to the same gender. I often find that a person's willingness to come in and simply talk about things creates at least 50% of the change they are looking for.

Life can have twists and bumps along the way. As a caring professional working in the behavioral health field for over 15 years I can assist you in the development or refining coping skills so you can continue with quality in activities of daily living. Working with a variety of clients (children, teenagers and adults) I have found that one size does not fit all in behavioral health. I work with my clients to develop a plan that will best suit their needs. It is important that the individual meet their needs. Together we can work as a team to reach your goal.

The ideal would be one like a nurse with considerable anxiety about taking her nursing written exam. Because she was also suffering from depression, from a marital separation, her ability to study was being negatively affected. I treated her with EMDR to reduce the intensity of the loss. It was successful, and she was able to start studying again. I treated her with hypnosis and behavioral relaxation skills to deal with her test performance anxiety and the client passed. I do well with traumas from the past using EMDR, and anxiety using cognitive behavioral skills along with hypnosis.

I approach counseling with the fundamental belief that we are all whole individuals - each of us unique; equally deserving of love, understanding, and compassion; and capable of making positive changes to achieve wellness, contentment, and meaningful connection. While there are many factors that may interrupt your ability to live life fully, my goal is to help you identify, understand, and resolve your own unique life stressors.
