Something brought you here, and it probably isn’t the first time you’ve felt this way. Maybe you keep hitting the same walls in your relationships, reaching for something to take the edge off, or waking up wondering why things feel so hard. You might be navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, or a major life change, and not quite sure who you are on the other side of it. What most people I work with have in common is a desire to understand themselves better and break the patterns keeping them stuck. We take the time to really look at what’s been shaping your experience and start finding a way through it together.

Life can be difficult, and everyone could use some help at times. We all face hurdles, hardships, and uncertainty. Even the strongest, most resilient among us can be overcome by life's circumstances. In overwhelming or confusing times, it can help to have professional support. Whether you're experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship issues, reproductive challenges, emotional instability, struggling with trauma related memories or any number of other mental health concerns, I want you to know that there is hope.

When you’re going through a life transition, it is difficult to find your footing. Whether you chose this change or not, it seems one area of life has shaken your whole world. It's had an impact at home, in relationships, with family, at school, or work. You feel alone and confused. You want to enjoy the present and feel hopeful, instead of constantly playing over what you could have done differently. You want to stop feeling so raw and vulnerable.

Throughout life, we frequently encounter obstacles between where we are at and what we want to achieve. These obstacles can manifest themselves in the form of depression, anxiety, interpersonal issues, self-esteem/self-confidence issues, or unresolved grief and trauma, to name a few. Gaining a better understanding of who we are as individuals is an important step in creating a sense of personal fulfillment in all aspects of our personal and social lives. I work with individuals in a collaborative process to explore these obstacles, challenge old patterns and beliefs, and find new ways of thinking and being.

As far as others know you are doing just fine, but inside you are bombarded by feelings of fear, shame, and sadness. Even though you are able to function enough to get by, you're exhausted by the endless thoughts about not getting it "right". You've built a wall to protect yourself from being hurt by others. You're stuck reliving past failures in parenting, work, and romantic relationships. When you think of reaching out for help you're scared that if you take down that wall you will come undone.

You’ve succeeded your way around your interior. You’re self-aware, accomplished, and completely stuck, not for lack of insight, but because insight was never the problem. The gap is between who you had to become and who you actually are. Many of my clients are Black, POC, Caribbean, LGBTQ+, or living with ADHD. They grew up in homes where functioning was survival and got so good at it that the armor became invisible, even to them. They are tired of thinking their way out of something that was never a thinking problem.

You might feel like your life revolves around someone else’s struggles, or like you’ve lost your own footing. Whether you’re supporting a partner, child, or loved one dealing with addiction or mental health challenges, or noticing your own reliance on substances or patterns that feel hard to step away from, it can be exhausting. You may find yourself overextending, trying to keep things together, or unsure where your responsibility ends and theirs begins, and how to take ownership of your own emotions without relying on something outside yourself.

You’ve likely held it together for a long time — managing responsibilities, relationships, and expectations, while something underneath feels off. Whether it’s tension in your relationship, financial stress, or the aftermath of betrayal, you may find yourself questioning your next steps, your boundaries, or even yourself. I work with individuals and couples who are ready to move beyond surface-level coping and into deeper clarity, accountability, and change.

Feeling overwhelmed, burned out, or trapped by anxiety? You’ve been holding it all together for everyone else—but deep down, you're running on empty. You might feel stuck in self-doubt, guilt, or perfectionism, wondering when it’ll ever be your turn to just breathe.

Many of the couples I see come to therapy stuck in a vicious cycle that leaves both partners feeling isolated, frustrated, and heartbroken. Their best efforts to connect with and be heard by the other inadvertently lead to more arguments and distance. When relationships don't work, we hurt. So much of our happiness and well-being as individuals depends upon the health of our intimate relationships.

Working through trauma requires tremendous courage. No one wants to find themselves having to focus on healing the past, but once you realize that’s what you need to move forward, there’s no looking back. Whether you are dealing with triggers, flashbacks, nightmares, relationship issues, anxiety, chronic health problems, or simply struggling to stop thinking about unpleasant events from the past, trauma can affect us all differently. I have the experience and training to support you as you shift the patterns you have developed in response to adversity.

Many of my clients begin therapy feeling disconnected from their feelings and bodies, struggling to show up in their relationships how they'd like, and overwhelmed by life. Working together, you or your child can come to feel less overwhelmed, and more capable to engage with life in a way that feels healthy, intentional, and authentic. I help my clients to feel un-stuck from old cycles of anxiety and perfectionism, reactivity and disassociation, shame and impulsivity. Real relief and positive change don’t happen when we’re flooded. I'll help you to slow down with whatever you’re facing, so that you can feel more grounded and strong.

Welcome! The decision to find a therapist signifies courage, strength, and hope. The difficult seasons in our lives can leave us feeling overwhelmed, sad, discouraged and alone. My approach is holistic, open-minded, strength-based and collaborative. I believe in the healing power of connection, acceptance and helpful tools as I help you rediscover and optimize your authentic self. "The path to healing starts with the symbolism of the still pond. It is only when our mind, like the water, is free of turbulence that we can see the true reflection and recognize that we are not ugly ducklings but swans." Dr. Bernie S. Siegel

Experience tells me that most people who seek counseling feel unable to make changes in their life that could bring them greater happiness. I consider it my responsibility and a privilege to facilitate your journey of self-empowerment to make these desired changes. Together we will explore how current patterns of feeling, thinking and acting could be altered by increasing mindfulness and self-compassion. While most of our focus is on the present and future, I also seek to honor your past by exploring how unresolved feelings may be hindering your growth and ability to meet personal goals.
