I utilize my emotional intelligence and intuitiveness to join the journey of others and increase their fortitude to navigate through difficult challenges together. I believe that a therapeutic alliance tailored for each individual drives the momentum necessary to enhance their level of empowerment which recharges, reconnects, and reclaims their perception of happiness. We are entitled to enjoy the abundance of life and that is unlimited and determined by our terms. It is our choices that directs our path to an unapologetic abundant life.

You are smart and resourceful, but your emotional difficulties and insecurities have proven to be more stubborn than other problems you've faced. Despite learning a lot about yourself through self-inquiry, reading, and prior experiences with therapy, you have once again come to the point of feeling stuck. You may feel like you are falling short of your potential. You may be exhausted yet too stressed out to rest. You may be too burnt out to work - almost as if you are broken. You may be experiencing intense feelings without obvious cause. Or maybe your relationship or parenting situation is so high-conflict that you feel hopeless.

You might be carrying anxiety, trauma, imposter syndrome, or relationship challenges—along with the quiet pressure to keep it all together. Maybe you’ve felt the need to push through, shrink parts of yourself, or always appear “fine” just to be seen or valued. You may also be learning to manage the internal buzz or overwhelm that can come with ADHD. It’s a lot, and it can be deeply exhausting. Therapy can be a space where you don’t have to explain, perform, or code-switch—where all parts of you are welcome, held with care, and met with genuine curiosity and compassion.

There are many things that may impact a person's ability to lead a full life, including challenges at work or school, relationship issues, depression and anxiety, and past traumas or losses. My goal as a therapist is to help clients move through their challenges and develop a deeper understanding of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors so they are able to live more satisfying and present lives. I do this by assisting clients in processing their feelings and identifying and connecting the things that have shaped them - including their relationships, thoughts, and attachment/trauma experiences - to their current issues.

Welcome! I'm glad you found your way here. Reaching out can be difficult. Littered with anxiety or self-doubt. I've been there. Along the way, I've experienced how essential it is to talk with someone who will listen deeply, respond compassionately, and support journeys of healing in creative and thoughtful ways. Whether you're facing a point of challenge, a period of crisis, or a chronic issue, I welcome the opportunity to bring my experience and training alongside your experience, values, and goals. Together, we can make something decent of this strange, messy, and perhaps even beautiful world.

Life can be hard sometimes, but you don't have to navigate that alone. Whether you're an individual dealing with past traumas that are unresolved or the loss of a significant entity in your life, a couple wanting to get through a rough patch, a family needing to improve communication, sometimes you just need an objective perspective to help see your way through. I can help! It’s not an easy process, and it may mean that I ask the hard questions that make you uncomfortable, but I will sit with you in that discomfort and encourage you as you work through it. I’ll be there with you every step of the way!

Are you secretly a Superwoman? Do you feel pressure to be seen as strong and hold it together for everyone around you? Do you put the needs of everyone else before yourself and associate vulnerability with weakness? Are you driven to succeed at any cost- often according to external standards? These external standards keep us trapped in the Superwoman box and prevent us from living our lives to the fullest- unapologetically. Many sources of oppression and discomfort intertwine to create that box, and often times the same sources that built the box also try to dictate what healing and wellness can look like. So let's destroy the box!

Learn more about how to find a therapist

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.

Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?

Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.

Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

How much does therapy cost?

The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, a therapy session in the United States could cost between $100 and $200 or more. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.

What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?

Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.

Are therapy sessions confidential?

Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship. Therapists in the United States are bound by the regulations set out by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), which aims to protect sensitive health information. With very few exceptions, a therapist will only discuss their client with others when the client has given their written permission. The instances in which a therapist would be required to disclose personal information are: if a client poses a danger to themselves or others, if the therapist suspects the abuse of a child or an elderly or otherwise dependent adult, or if they are legally forced to by court order. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed with a client before their first session.
