My practice is predicated on the idea that we all have within us, the capacity for healing and self-actualization. At times our life paths can become difficult and we become lost or may lose sight of our goals and values. Our therapeutic work will focus on rediscovering or recreating that path, with me as your guide. Treatment goals are individualized but it is my hope that our time together will provide you the opportunity for growth & healing and building emotional awareness & tolerance.
My practice integrates various treatment theories to include behaviorism & social learning, psychodynamic, developmental and humanistic work. If it meets your needs we can integrate mindfulness and creative expression into our work together. I have worked with children, adolescents and adults in various settings.
Professional training includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and cognitive processing therapy (CPT) with intensive work in trauma focused - cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) and practicing within a transdiagnostic model. I currently specialize in eating disorders and mood disorders but have experience working with a myriad of mental health challenges.
