I provide compassionate psychological services to adults, specializing in anxiety, depression, eating disorders, trauma, and relationships. Sometimes life is really hard and we get stuck in the way we think, feel, and act; or we struggle to cope with what life has thrown at us. My approach is to help you feel heard and partner with you to develop new ways to see yourself and the world. Together we work to understand you and your life, and then identify ways to help you become a happier and healthier you. If you don’t quite understand what is going wrong, I utilize psychological testing to help you figure it out.

I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I can help you to understand how your thoughts, feelings, behavior are interconnected, and that negative thoughts and feelings can trap you in a vicious cycle. CBT aims to help you deal with overwhelming problems in a more positive way by breaking them down into smaller parts. You're shown how to change these negative patterns to improve the way you feel. Unlike some other talking treatments, CBT deals with your current problems, rather than focusing on issues from your past. The use of humor in CBT is encouraged. We look for practical ways to improve your daily state of mind.

I work with parents and children with learning, behavioral and emotional needs. If you are struggling with your child's behavior, feel that your family and friends do not understand your child or are judging your parenting, and have "tried everything," I would like to offer a safe place for you and your child to talk and get support. If you have concerns with your child's learning process and suspect that your child may have a learning disability, ADHD, or Autism, a psychological evaluation can help to identify strengths and weaknesses, factors that impede learning, and may result in a diagnosis.

I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) which is a treatment specifically for designed to alleviate distressing memories that may be related to trauma.
