Being able to help others has always been a passion of mine. My educational and professional experience has allowed me to create a broad variety of specialties. I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Central Florida in 2004. During my stay, I was able to work with specialty organizations that focused on equality and activism for groups such as LGBTQ+, military support, and women's rights. The following year, I was able to dive deeper into the complexities of systems theory while at Nova Southeastern University.

So, here's the thing. I know if you're looking for a therapist, you've probably read a million of these profiles, which is exhausting and stressful, so I'll try to be concise. I consider myself a kind of offbeat therapist. I relish in embracing the weird and alternative, I swear in session (if you're cool with it), and I have a habit of using esoteric metaphors.

Since 1970 I have walked with many persons, couples and families who need supportive, fresh ears and eyes, a compassionate heart, wise experience and holistic perspective regarding life's challenges, transitions, burdens, growth points and life choices. I place no limits on clients' presenting challenges. I see several clients from minors to adults who are struggling with depression, substance use disorders, and anxiety. Also, I see a number of clients who are struggling with complicated grief or OCD or ADHD. All of my client's goals include developing coping skills to achieve better living conditions.

I am an ordained minister with ten years of service in chaplaincy and parish ministry and twenty-five years as a Marriage and Family Therapist, specializing in family trauma. In my ministry I have witnessed so much drifting and confusion as hurting individuals try to find intimacy and meaning within their partnerships and families. Starting in mid-August I will be adding patients to my Wednesday Schedule. My professional experience has focused mostly on treating individuals suffering from eating disorders as well as individuals struggling with issues associated with obesity. However, I also have considerable experience working with people struggling with anxiety and depression. I enjoy helping people to gain a better understanding of their behaviors and how behaviors impact their emotional and physical health. I treat patients mostly with a cognitive behavioral approach.
