My ideal client is a teen or adult that is struggling to figure out what they are missing. They are realizing that life's challenges seem harder for them than they are for others. They may be having challenges with their personal relationships. They may be feeling unable to complete tasks they used to accomplish easily. They may be feeling depressed and anxious. I specialize in working with late-identified autistic teens and adults, as well as teens and adults with ADHD. I also have experience and enjoy working with folks that experience depression, anxiety, substance use challenges, trauma, and/or PTSD symptoms.

Many of us are wounded, but we are not broken. I believe in meeting each individual where they are in their journey with acceptance and curiosity. Life can feel crazy-making until we find out who we are underneath all of the ways we have become. Counseling can help you understand and undo patterns of thought and behavior that unconsciously keep you from truly connecting with yourself and others. We can work together to find the "why?"s of your struggle and how to move forward. You can find peace.

All of us face times when life brings more than we can manage alone. Asking for help—even when asking is hard—is the first step toward a different experience. I find deep joy and fulfillment in walking with adults and children on their journeys toward healing, connection, and reawakened hope.
I work with adults and children 3+, of all backgrounds, identities, and neurotypes, who seek support with trauma, depression, insecure attachment patterns, challenging life transitions, systemic barriers, multiple diagnoses, and more. We may talk, play, laugh, cry, make art, go outside, practice skills, grieve losses, or celebrate strengths.

You're not eating. You can't stop checking your phone. You drunk dialed him at 3am and regret it horribly-or maybe you don't. Your friends are so tired of hearing you talk about your ex. But you can't help it! You aren't sleeping or you're sleeping too much. School or work is suffering. People keep saying "You should be over this by now," yet you find yourself with the covers over your head, dreading to face the day. You'll hear me call this "Survival Mode."

My clients are often successful adults who are holding it together on the outside but feel overwhelmed, anxious, burnt out, and stuck in survival mode on the inside. They tend to be insightful and self-aware, yet find themselves stuck in patterns of overthinking, people-pleasing, shutdown, perfectionism, and self-doubt. Many of these patterns developed as ways your nervous system learned to adapt to difficult or overwhelming life experiences. Brain-body therapy can help you understand these survival patterns, reconnect with yourself and others, and move toward a life that feels more grounded, connected, and fulfilling.

Modern life has a way of crushing the human spirit. What we have to do to survive is often in direct conflict with our vital needs and desires. That's why the therapy space is so important. Together we'll set aside your daily demands and explore what's actually happening inside you. We'll listen for the signals in the noise...those subtle clues that point toward the life you actually want to be living. I work well with people who crave deeper relationships; are seekers, creatives, or “black sheep” who long for more clarity and ease; and folks who grew up in emotionally dismissive or neglectful environments.

I work very well with men of all ages. Particularly, older teenagers and young men in their 20s and 30s have benefited a lot from working with me. Folks who are interested in spiritual practice tend to do very well with me too, as I have a long time background in East-West psychology. I also tend work quite well with athletes, and/or people who like to be 'on the move'. I offer walk and talk sessions as well. Folks with ADHD have benefited greatly from my approach, particularly in building focus, and learning effective means of communication with close people in their lives.

If you find yourself constantly overthinking, feeling emotionally overwhelmed, or repeating the same painful patterns despite your best efforts, you're not alone. You may wonder why certain experiences still affect you, even years later. The truth is that the past doesn't simply disappear—it can continue to influence your emotions, relationships, and sense of self until it is processed and healed. Change is possible, and you don't have to navigate that journey by yourself. If you're struggling with the effects of childhood experiences, relationship wounds, grief, anxiety, or feeling disconnected from yourself, therapy can help.

My work with clients is deeply relational and includes exploring how our bodies hold on to stressors and traumas. The use of skills in the short-term can decrease immediate pain and open the door to a deeper exploration of underlying experiences, both cognitively and somatically. Through the use of attachment and connection (and some humor!), we create a safe environment to explore and integrate what you're carrying. I love working with clients to identify and shift patterns, both internally and externally. Additionally, I firmly believe that we cannot separate the micro from the macro-we are all a part of the systems around us.

I enjoy working with teens, young adults, and parents. In my work, I use multiple modalities as well as my many years of experience to develop individualized treatment plans for my clients. In work that we do, my hope is that my clients will feel a sense of relief and accomplishment as they progress towards their personal mental health goals.

Welcome, I’m glad you’re here. Maybe you're here because you feel stuck in some way, and are looking for some help in moving past this. Sometimes this looks like honoring and calming the “inner critic”, or touching into and working with self-doubt in order to retake control. Past experiences and trauma can impede our present, but lasting change is possible. I can help by using an integrated approach of Internal Family Systems (IFS), psychodynamic and mindfulness-based therapy.

You still love each other, but communication feels strained, intimacy feels distant, or you’re stuck in the same painful cycle. Couples often reach out saying they need help communicating. What I typically find is that communication breaks down when emotional safety and closeness have eroded. I work with couples who care deeply about their relationship but feel disconnected, guarded, or caught in repetitive conflict. This may show up as escalating arguments, shutdown or withdrawal, roommate-like distance, sexual disconnection, or difficulty navigating transitions like opening a relationship.

I work with adults from all walks of life who are ready to understand themselves more deeply. As a therapist, I operate from the belief that symptoms are signals, often pointing to unresolved wounds and outdated narratives from early in life. Left unaddressed, this can manifest in painful and disruptive symptoms, patterns of limiting or destructive behavior, and seeking for relief over and over again in all the wrong places. These patterns will continue to surface again and again until we bring awareness to them.

I believe all of our experiences can enrich us once we find meaning and reclaim our purpose after traumatic experiences, grief and loss, natural life stage transitions or decisions to make big changes. I help clients understand how the brain strives ever toward survival, and to use that understanding to transform old thought patterns that have kept them stuck. I work on the premise that we can access our natural reorientation and resilience, and that our brains can and do evolve all the time. We explore the influence of our context like developmental stages, relationships, and conflict of values. I also offer Supervision to LCMHCAs.

Many of us go through hardships that negatively impact the way we relate to ourselves, each other, and the world around us. Without the help that we need, we may suffer, become isolated, or lack a sense of belonging and purpose. The heart of our work is relational, and we utilize our relationship, among other dimensions of treatment rooted in attachment and mindfulness, as catalysts for change. Trust and mutual respect set the stage for us to understand and untangle the threads of one’s story and to recover a sense of dignity, ownership, and desire.
