The body, mind and spirit have natural proclivity for self-healing, but sometimes we get stuck. I believe my role is to simply aid in this natural process while helping to identify and devise a plan to overcome barriers to our innate drive toward wellness. I’ve been in the human services field for fifteen years I have worked with diverse populations including children in a psychiatric facility, adults experiencing homelessness, veterans with PTSD and adults dealing with challenges from common life stressors to serious mental illness in private practice.

All relationships hold the capacity for both sacred joy and deep pain. We tend to get stuck in cycles that threaten to derail our connection with the ones who matter most. We lose sight of one another in the daily grind and can’t seem to find our way back to a partner or maybe even to ourselves. That feeling of safety and respect slips away, and you get stuck in negative emotions that steal the love you once held for your partner. You reach out and feel rejected. You take space but feel lonely. You are not the only one. Like you, I’ve experienced negative relationship cycles in my 17-year marriage.

Life’s hardest experiences can leave us feeling like we are living in a house where the foundation has cracked. On the surface, things may look fine, but within, the cracks spread quietly, eventually showing up in daily life. A sharp word from a partner, a moment of silence, a sudden change in routine, and the ground feels unsafe. In relationships, these cracks can keep showing up, leaving both closeness and trust feeling fragile. In our work together, we won’t plaster over the cracks or pretend they aren’t there. We will look at them with care, understanding what caused them and how they’ve shaped the way you move in the world.

I wholeheartedly believe in our body's ability to heal. And that with the right support, incredible growth is possible. I love supporting clients as they work to rebuild their lives and regain the power of their own agency in the face of chronic pain, body trauma, complex grief disorders, and PTSD. I also believe in the many ways in which our mental, physical, and emotional bodies work together to reestablish internal equilibrium within ourselves. As Gestalt Therapy pioneer Fritz Perls was eloquently quoted as saying: “We are not a summation of parts, but rather a coordination of the whole” .

I am a seasoned, virtual, private pay, pay what you can therapist. I graduated from the MFT program at Portland State University where I was trained in strategies and interventions that focus on you and the systems around you. I believe we develop our relationship strategies and our sense of self at a young age in ways that are adaptive to the world, and people, around us. Often times, we bring these old adaptive patterns to our adult relationships even when they are no longer serving us. I can help you to recognize and change these old relationship patterns, including your relationship with yourself, that no longer serve you.

I’m an integrative therapist with nearly two decades of experience helping clients heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves. My approach weaves together the best of Eastern and Western traditions—including clinical psychology, mindfulness, somatic awareness, and energy medicine—into a holistic, personalized process that honors the whole person. I believe that symptoms are not "problems to fix,” but signals pointing toward deeper needs, imbalances, and opportunities for transformation.

Are you struggling with chronic pain, PTSD, anxiety, panic attacks, or the burdens of chronic stress? If you answered “yes” to any of these, you have come to the right place. I have been Board Certified in Biofeedback since 1995. I have worked in hospitals and in private practice with persons having any condition that is created by, or exacerbated by, an imbalance in the nervous system. When you learn to regulate your nervous system, you begin to release “feel good” chemicals (ie oxytocin, endorphins) into the blood stream. Endorphins relieve pain naturally and elevate your mood. My approach is very mind-body focused.
