What brings people to therapy? A sense that something's not right, the desire to stop feeling sad, worried or angry, and the desire to have an objective listener with no agenda other than to help do what's right for you. I believe people can make more effective choices and improve the quality of their lives if they have a better understanding of themselves and how they relate/react to the outer world. With more than 30 years of experience in clinical psychology, I've seen over and over again how would be "obstacles" have revealed personal strengths and opened new doors.
My practice is targeted for adults struggling with depression (including bipolar management), anxiety and life transitions such as relationship changes, employment shifts, or general life assessment triggered by illness, loss, or changing personal needs. Evidence based treatments are used to address disruptive emotions, facilitate decision making and strengthen coping skills.
Sometimes in life we need to pause for a reset, a reset in how we view the world, how we view our experiences, how we view ourselves. Taking that first step is not always easy. When you call for an appointment, I know you're ready to create change.
