I have been working with and helping individuals manage stress, anxiety, and goal setting for four years. My specialty is working with young adults with anxiety through assisting them in reframing their thoughts and learning positive coping mechanisms. I go through a series of modules and/or workbooks to help the individual first learn about the issue they would like to work on, and then build upon that knowledge to help that individual learn to manage that issue on their own. I want to assist individuals understand how their thoughts or beliefs, influence their behavior.
Alexis is experienced working as a counselor at a community college. She enjoys providing her clients with tools and coping mechanisms to assist them with overcoming the challenges in their life. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral therapy and Solution Focused therapy in her approach. Alexis is experienced in working with depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and stress.
