I have been working as a counselor since January 2001. I typically work with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. I feel that parents are important in the counseling process and would like for parents to be available during the times that I meet with the child. I accept most major insurances. As women, we often find ourselves naturally inclined to prioritize the needs of others, often neglecting our own well-being in the process. At Healing is Possible we have a specialized focus on assisting women who are struggling with anxiety, mood disorders and trauma. We understand that a woman’s mental health needs are distinct and require tailored support.

My approach to therapy is to assist individuals in accomplishing their goals in this journey we call life. I feel our expectations of others, ourselves and our environment create more stress than we often realize. The good news is we can tame those expectations in order to live a more purposeful life, less driven by stress and greatly assisted by the skills acquired in therapy.

I enjoy working with adults and teens 13 years and older. My previous experience involves working with several populations in the community, including survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, clients with substance use diagnoses, including those with co-occurring mental health and substance use diagnoses, and the LGBTQIA+ community. My ultimate goal is to create a safe space where you feel heard, seen, and accepted in order to facilitate real change through a collaborative approach.

I'm not like a regular therapist, I'm a cool therapist. High-fives for everybody that caught the Mean Girls reference. But really, if you've tried therapy before and HATED it, if you're ready to make some changes in your life, ready to hear the truth (whether you like it or not) and own your shit, or if you just need a safe space to dump with a REAL person WITHOUT judgement there's always room here. I prefer to see adults but I will make exceptions for adolescents age 16 and over, provided they pass the vibe check. Unadulteratedly authentic-it's kinda my thing. It's what I extend to my people and who I challenge them to be.
