Adjusting to and coping with life changes impacts us all, making normal tasks and routines difficult to follow through with. Oftentimes, it can feel like we do not know how to navigate these changes. However, I believe that as we work together to identify your strengths, you will find the methods and answers within you, and begin working toward living your life to the fullest. I have extensive experience working with clients attempting to cope with anxiety, depression, severe mental health disorders, life changes, relationship problems, and physical and emotional trauma.

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and offer counseling for individuals and couples. We will work together from the start to get clear on what you want from counseling. In general, my work with couples focuses on improving communication, changing patterns, strengthening the relationship bond, and (re)establishing connection and trust between partners. When I work with individuals, we often aim to get a clearer understanding of what's going on inside, and to find new ways of navigating through the moments or areas of life that feel stuck.

You know the visceral pain of loss. You get how grief makes itself known through abrupt tears, sleepless nights, literal pain, and a plethora of emotions because you’ve lived it. You know what it’s like for life as you’ve known it to change in irreversible ways. Maybe you're in the thick of struggling to cope, trying to make sense of what’s happened and where you go from here, or you’re ready to heal a grief unobserved that’s been with you for some time. Perhaps you’ve lost someone to suicide, an often uniquely isolating loss. You might be grieving a breakup, familial estrangement or change in identity. These bring grief, too.

Times are changing and it’s more important than ever to discover ways to build resilience & tune into what inspires us!
If I were to choose one word to describe my work, I’d pick Intuition.
Just as thinking, feeling and sensing are “tools” we use every day, intuition is part of our birthright—available to anyone who wants to step out of the daily noise and perceive something of the mystery of this life. Intuition offers us a subtle awareness—a clear knowing that we cannot quite grasp objectively.

Struggling with anxiety or depression can feel isolating. Questions about identity may leave you uncertain. Relationship challenges can be overwhelming, and disordered eating—whether bulimia or binge eating—can be deeply distressing. You don’t have to face these struggles alone. I help adults who feel stuck, providing a collaborative, informal space to explore the roots of your challenges and develop practical tools for moving forward with confidence.

I have experience working with children, teens and adults. I currently work with adults who are seeking to better understand themselves and their interactions with the world around them. Through counseling, I often support individuals who are neurodivergent, LGBTQ+, educators, college students/young adults, and individuals who are going through big life changes (changing careers, moving to a new town, changes in significant relationships). Through counseling I support individuals as they gain a stronger sense of themselves and a deeper understanding of the control that they have over their own life.

As a former foster child who entered foster care at the age of 12 and aged out, I have a passion for serving children and adolescents who have similar experiences. However, this does not limit my empathy for serving individuals and groups who are committed to improving their mental health. I am an older sister of 10 siblings (8 of them being all boys) who have assisted with my development in the skills, abilities, and patience that aids in therapeutic relationships with children and adolescents. I am committed to building resilience and fortitude while improving one's mental health and well-being.

Feeling stuck? Stressed? Counseling may be your answer. Working together, I help my clients find relief from their emotional pain and assist them in finding a path they can feel good about. Superior therapy is dependent on the quality of the relationship between therapist and client. I prefer to treat my clients the way I want to be treated by my health care providers; with respect for their time, a warm personality, and with a positive attitude. Please note I formerly practiced under the surname Bressler.

I’m grateful you’re here. I commend you for taking the first step toward building a better relationship with yourself and deepening your self-awareness. Therapy is a wonderful gift to give to yourself. My ideal client is anyone at a crossroads in their life who is in need of a safe harbor. No struggle is too big or small, or layered or strange. I especially enjoy working with anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, trauma, life transitions, relational concerns, and the queer community. I am person-centered at my core and approach therapy from a feminist lens. I also like to implement aspects of mindfulness with my clients.

What if you aren't something that needs to be figured out but a person worthy of time and understanding? At its most basic, my goal as a counselor is to show up in our sessions and demonstrate to you, over and over again, that it is safe to share with me because I am able to remain curious, compassionate, and non judgmental no matter what arises. I believe that even our most troubling thoughts and behaviors can be understood as ways we have adapted to get our needs met. Through this respectful lens, we can explore what new paths might be possible.

Those who consider themselves highly sensitive and often feel misunderstood can expect space to develop a better understanding of their experience and utilize the gift of high sensitivity. Being highly sensitive in today's world can feel more difficult than ever, however, it also provides the opportunity for immense growth and purpose. If you are looking to explore the inclusion of spiritual/faith-based beliefs and principles into your therapeutic journey, you have come to the right place.
