Do you understand why you do the things you do, but still struggle to change them? You've read the book, listened to the podcasts, maybe even been to therapy before but the same patterns keep showing up.
That's because insight alone can't change the nervous system.
I specialize in helping adults, military members, veterans, and couples who are functioning well on the outside but feel stuck on the inside. Many of my clients aren't looking for crisis stabilization they are looking for lasting change

I believe everyone has an innate capacity to heal and change. Access to this healing is sometimes blocked when there is a need to adapt and survive traumatic, difficult or overwhelming experiences. Perhaps it is something that happened in childhood, or over a period of time, or is a single incident that occurred more recently. When access to healing is blocked, our nervous system can become overwhelmed. When this happens we may experience symptoms such as anxiety, panic, or hyper-alertness, depression, anger, low self-esteem, substance abuse, conflictual relational patterns, or low motivation.

You're doing everything for everyone- but you're running on empty. You love your kids, but you miss yourself. Most days feel like a blur of messes, meltdowns, mental lists, and trying to keep it all together. Maybe you've been told you are "too sensitive" or "just need to be more organized." Maybe you've even wondered if there's something wrong with you. You're not lazy. You're not failing. You're just completely exhausted. Whether you're navigating a recent ADHD or anxiety diagnosis (or suspect you might be), juggling the mental load of motherhood, or just feeling like you're drowning in invisible expectations- you are not alone.

Hi, I’m Laura Anthony, a licensed clinical social worker and U.S. veteran. I specialize in working with clients who are carrying the impact of trauma, chronic stress, and difficult life experiences.
Many of my clients appear capable and responsible on the outside but feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or stuck in patterns they can’t seem to shift. Trauma can show up as anxiety, overthinking, relationship strain, irritability, sleep disruption, or feeling disconnected from yourself and others. Together, we work to understand those patterns and address them at the root.

Hello and Welcome!
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I have over ten years experience working with children, individuals, couples, and families to repair and restore their relationships and lives following life-altering and/or traumatic events. Working with my client's taught me how significant anxiety, depression and restlessness are felt if left unresolved following a traumatic experience. Many times, clients present with symptoms of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) which mimic symptoms of trauma. I offer specialized therapy for the management of neurodivergent symptoms negatively impacting the client.

If life feels overwhelming, confusing, or heavier than it should, you don’t have to navigate it on your own. I’m here to support you on your healing journey, whatever that looks like for you. If you’re not totally sure what “healing” even means yet, or how it might take shape, that’s more than okay. We can slow down, get curious, and figure it out together. I truly believe that you are the expert in your own life. My role isn’t to tell you who to be or what to do, but to walk alongside you as a collaborative partner, offering care, curiosity, and support as you reconnect with yourself and move toward the life you want.
