I work with individuals who feel stuck in self-criticism, struggle with knowing who they are, or feel weighed down by patterns they learned in childhood — especially those who grew up in chaotic or emotionally unavailable environments. Whether you're navigating big life changes, healing from trauma, or simply trying to quiet the voice that tells you that you're not enough, I’m here to help. I have a special passion for supporting women and new mothers, but my work extends beyond the perinatal space. I am drawn to individuals who appear to have it all together on the outside but feel overwhelmed, anxious, or lost internally.

Are you looking for a healing therapy that goes to the core of the issue and transforms your connection with body, mind and spirit? I have an extensive background in treating issues related to trauma, chronic physical issues, anxiety, depression and more starting from conception to present. Also, I help professional adults who feel like you aren't fully living, people with chronic health or pain, as well as many mental health professionals. My modalities are holistic and go much deeper than talk therapy or correcting thinking. In addition, I work with businesses & groups to teach simple but powerful brain & body skills.

Sometimes difficult life circumstances are too much to bear without help. Past trauma can come flooding back and keep you stuck in painful memories that include fear, anxiety, depression and grief. Chronic illness such as dementia or cancer can turn the lives of family members upside down, in an attempt to meet care needs. As you attempt to focus on career and family, you can sometimes find yourself blocked from achieving long-held goals and dreams. My 7 decades of life experience, along with specialized psychological training, give me a practical perspective to help you navigate your difficult life circumstances.

Therapy is not a sign that you have failed to figure it all out nor is it an indication that your marriage or relationship is over. Rather, it is the beginning of a process of getting unstuck and getting healthy. We regularly get our car serviced even though it’s not broken. We need to take care of ourselves and our relationships as well. Getting to a healthier place is a lot easier to navigate with someone who is outside of your situation.

There are times in everyone's life when navigating day-to-day struggles and problems seem more than we can do on our own. Sometimes, we just need someone to talk to who will listen, not judge, and help us to find our way again.

I have been working in the counseling profession for over 25 years, with a focus on individuals with mild to moderate disabilities, as well as children aged nine, adolescents, teenagers, emerging adults, despondent adult professionals, families, and groups. My approach to counseling is integrative, and I utilize family system therapy, person-centered therapy, psychoanalysis, Gestalt therapy, existentialism, and solution-focused therapy. I believe that understanding intergenerational family interactions and communication patterns is crucial for addressing current issues.

It can be profoundly painful to live and move in a body or identity that does not fit into societal expectations. Too often we are pressured to conform ourselves to narrow and ultimately unattainable standards of who we should be and how we should live, which can leave us feeling alone and alienated. Maybe you feel inadequate, ashamed, or even guilty about the attraction you feel, the body you have, or questioning your beliefs. If so, you might be in need of a space to unburden yourself, to safely explore beyond what you've been told is acceptable, where you don’t have to make yourself small or more palatable for unfair standards.

Do you have a running argument inside your head, where the most critical part always wins? Are you feeling stuck, but you just keep on keeping on, because that’s what you know how to do? You’ve triumphed over so much, but just under the surface is a layer of sadness, self-doubt, and fear that never seems to go away. You don’t know how to help it, so you try to ignore it or drown it out. If you can relate to this, please know I'm here to heIp. My experience is that we are all innately powerful, and that healing is available to us all, unlocking confidence, loving relationships, and feelings of success, peace and contentment.

Maybe you feel like taking any step is daunting. Relationships loom over your head and the world seems to be spinning around you. The pain of life seems too big to even approach and nothing you do seems to make lasting change. Unwanted compulsive behavior or unbreakable beliefs about yourself dominates your life. You want to live with hope and purpose.
