Do you feel like your mood depends on how someone texts you back or shows up for you? Maybe you find yourself overanalyzing every interaction, fearing distance, or holding on tightly even when something feels off. You might lose yourself trying to keep the connection, leaving you anxious, insecure, and emotionally exhausted. Where did you learn that love feels this way? What would it be like to feel like to trust yourself, speak up without guilt, and feel chosen instead of chasing connection? That shift is possible!

Many of the people I work with are trying to make sense of patterns that still have not quite added up, especially when previous diagnoses only partially explain their experiences. Patients across a wide range of backgrounds and identities often share a similar sense that these explanations sounded right on paper but did not fully hold up in real life. By accounting for both internal experiences such as physical health, emotions, mood, and thought patterns, and external realities such as relationships, marginalization, and broader social or global events, I work to understand how each person became who they are today.

Stress can come into our lives at the most unexpected and inconvenient times. We try deny the effects of stress until it becomes overbearing. When this happens, we tend to develop behaviors that are more damaging than they are helpful – maladaptive behaviors. Our thoughts and actions can get in our way. We can get stuck with our unhelpful actions and need help learning how to replace these behaviors. I use a combination of CBT, DBT, EMDR, and Person-Centered therapy working with adults. With children, I use Play therapy, PCIT, Theraplay, and bibliotherapy.
