Life transitions and losses can leave us feeling sad, depressed, anxious and confused. Events like divorce, grief, career problems and burnout, health crises, empty nest, or even pending retirement - can feel more like "life disruptions" that are difficult to find our way through. I support my clients as they move through these challenging experiences and towards more peace, confidence and happiness in their lives. I bring a unique perspective, training and experience as both a licensed therapist (LCSW) and certified professional coach (PCC) for executives.
My approach is warm, relaxed and interactive. Our sessions give you time and space to slow down and understand how life experiences, emotions, thoughts and beliefs may be impacting you - and how to start feeling better through self understanding and self compassion. I also provide therapy for the family and friends of individuals who have died by suicide.
I meet my therapy clients in person (sometimes virtual) in my office in historic Oldtown, Alexandria VA (for residents of Virginia, Maryland or Washington, DC).
