I have been in private practice for over 40 years. I tend to be warm, interactive and empathic with my clients as I believe a successful outcome is based on positive regard and trust between client and therapist. I am Humanistic and client centered in my approach, I believe that therapy is an ideal means to fully imagine one's potential and vision for a healthy, happy, and productive future however that is defined by the client.
My modalities include individual, group, and couple's therapy. If interested, I introduce the practice of meditation and mindfulness. I have extensive training in both and have found it to be an effective way of managing various mood states and finding finding refuge in a more peaceful state of mind.
I am trained as a PREP leader (Prevention, Relationship, Enhancement Program) which focuses on communication skills, reduction of conflict, and assistance with improving couples enrichment (fun). It is structured and educational in nature and can be used in premarriage education as well as with couples both married and non married.

Women's Psychotherapy Group
This group usually has about 4-6 members with women ranging in age typically from 25 to 55. The members are encouraged to bring up any issues that are of concern to them. Typical issues are self esteem, depression, anxiety, relationships, career, and family issue both in the present and historically. The group can be a powerful modality for change as the members begin to trust and confide in each other. The group is ongoing and members are added as needed.
