By the time you make the call for counseling, Life has taken a toll in some serious regard. Brokenness has come upon you in relationship, in spirit, in feeling overwhelmed by challenges. In a serendipitous manner, we come together, as you seek healing and I, as your counselor, strive to be a help and an encourager into a new and brighter day. It is a deep honor and privilege for me to embrace the broken soul and to be trusted to join in the journey from being lost, stuck, or in pain into the possibility of wellness and joy.

I use a trauma informed, strengths-based approach tailored to your individual needs. I value helping you find meaningful connection within the world around you- and more importantly within yourself.

For the past 16 yrs I've worked primarily with children & adolescents* on the autism spectrum. Of course working with children means working with parents; partnering with parents is essential so that the progress we make in sessions carries over to everyday family life. There is nothing better than finding the "secret" to reaching a child and seeing them blossom before your eyes. It might not happen overnight, but believe me, it happens. To make the most progress, children should begin therapy as early as possible. * I can see adult clients and couples, wkdays between 11 am - 2 pm.

I specialize, and truly enjoy, helping my clients identify and work the past, as well as everyday stressors of life. This includes anything from domestic and sexual abuse to marital conflict, parenting struggles, work stress and familial conflict. Often clients come have an understanding of their "symptoms"- their anxiety, depression, anger, etc- but don't fully understand their triggers or where these symptoms are coming from. My goal is to help you make connections between what you're experiencing, where it's coming from and develop tools to manage/overcome it.

I specialize in working with individuals in recovery from substance use, those who have faced personal loss in life or are struggling with life transitions and are seeking a place of peace. At the initial interview, we will jointly set treatment goals and determine the course to achieve those goals. In sessions, neuroscience informed skills are utilized to activate and heal emotional pain, examine obstructive thinking and barriers to growth, determine more supportive self choices, increase self and other awareness and to ultimately bring about greater presence, joy and calmness in life.

In my humble opinion every client is an ideal client. Essentially we are all trying to navigate the human experience, which is HARD work but rewarding. Overall, I do my best work in assisting individuals with trauma, anxiety, depression, and grief; however, I do utilize many tools to help with a wide array of mental health concerns. I look forwards to helping clients first identify their needs and try to help them access relevant resources to help themselves progress in a way that is observable by others. Goals vary from client to client and I enjoy collaborating with clients and being intentional in putting our plans into actions.

Are you trying to find a therapist that can understand your culture, your upbringing, the spiritual and intergenerational issues and possibly speaks the same language? Are you searching for someone who understands what its like coming from similar cultural and familial background and can help you make sense of the issues that are happening to and around you? Do you want to find a place where it is comfortable to be yourself, not have to keep explaining what you mean and to feel safe to express without judgement? Are you ready to figure out what is really underneath your symptoms and find someone that will hold your hand through it?

I believe in creating a therapeutic environment that is both compassionate and direct, with a balance of playfulness and depth. Therapy can be a transformative, collaborative journey of self-discovery and healing—challenging at times, but ultimately empowering and rewarding. With experience in treating a wide range of issues—including trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, anger, life transitions, men's issues, and relationship dynamics. Life can bring unexpected challenges. Bad news, betrayal, loss and significant change can shake our sense of stability, leaving us feeling lost, stuck, or uncertain about how to move forward.

Finding a therapist who fits for you is challenging; you are not just seeking a service, you are starting a relationship. This can seem like a frightening proposition; but it is also an opportunity! Rarely in life do you enter a relationship with the expectation that you will need to be vulnerable or that you will be able to explore the dynamics of how you interact with the other person directly and frankly. Clients who are interested in exploring these dynamics or in learning strategies to cope with the challenges of day-to-day life are the ones who benefit most from my therapeutic approach.

It is a honor to help women navigate life while providing them the tools to improve mental wellness. It is essential to me that you feel safe, heard, and empowered in your sessions. My ideal client is someone who has reached a point in their life where they recognize that something needs to change. They may be feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or disconnected from themselves and others. Perhaps they are struggling with anxiety that makes it hard to focus, or with depression that leaves them feeling stuck and unmotivated. Some may be navigating life transitions such as relationship challenges, grief, parenthood, or career stress. Others may be carrying the weight of past trauma or experiences that continue to affect their daily lives.
