My approach to the therapeutic alliance is gentle and playful, yet direct. Therapy can be a fascinating collaborative journey of discovery and self-awareness that can be hard but empowering and fun, like exercising or completing a task. I am experienced treating a variety of issues to include trauma and PTSD, life transitions, anger, anxiety, grief, depression, men's issues, life coaching, and peer and relationship counseling. Bad news, betrayal, loss and change can arrive unexpectedly and knock us off-center, leaving us feeling stuck and unsure of the next step.
Therapy can shift that - what may have seemed hopeless can be changed into situations where you can have a calm sense of control and peace. Symptoms of trauma, anxiety, fear and anger are normal responses to abnormal situations. Troublesome memories and events can be reconsolidated so they no longer adversely affect us.
