I specialize in helping individuals and families who are navigating trauma, life transitions, and co-occurring mental health and substance use challenges. Clients come to counseling for various reasons. In my experience with the clients, some of them just needed time and space for them to be heard because they did not have that resource with others in their life. Their friends and family could be great support but couldn’t necessarily offer professional help such as treatment. Some people, including myself, may struggle with things they are not able to express clearly. Some may be just confused about life and need some coaching from the counselors.

I believe that every individual deserves to feel seen, heard, understood and feel stable. The Journey takes effort, time, and work, but the feeling and reality that you experience when you come out on the other side makes it worth while.

Hi, I'm Katie. Are you feeling overwhelmed, unfocused, emotionally drained, or unsure how to feel better? Maybe you’ve been more reactive, irritable, or triggered — not just at work, but in the relationships that matter most. Life’s daily challenges, emotional burdens, and past experiences can leave you stuck in a rut, unsure how to move forward. I specialize in helping women break out of this cycle and reconnect with themselves. Together, we’ll identify unhealthy patterns, triggers, and routines — and work toward meaningful, sustainable change.

Are you struggling with a sense of identity? Wishing that you'd pursued something and now it's "too late?" We're raised to believe that there is a particular timeline our lives need to follow, but in reality, everyone's path and timeline are different. It's never too late to make a change and no matter who we are, or where we are in our lives, we are all capable of change. It's my goal to help you work towards achieving YOUR goals (even if you haven't quite figured out those goals yet).

Because no two patients are alike, therapy should be tailored to each patient, rather than trying to treat everyone with the same theoretical approach. I believe that a therapist’s job is to guide the patient as they learn to change the behaviors and thinking styles that may have once been helpful, but are now getting in their way. Most importantly, I believe it is a therapist's job to teach their patients the skills necessary to eventually function independent of their therapist, allowing them to eventually leave therapy instead of being stuck with having weekly sessions for the rest of their lives!

I work with clients who are going through difficult times and need a supportive ear and an optimistic perspective. Diagnoses like depression, anxiety, bipolar, hallucinations, spirituality and life transitions are specialties of mine. I have worked with teens, young adults, adults and seniors. It is a great joy to watch people move from needing extra support to obtaining wellbeing and existing in a better space. I am a proud parent and I enjoy working with crystals, doing mindfulness activities, and journaling my hopes and dreams. I also enjoy art, music, dance, writing, and all things creative.
