I am licensed in Maryland and Washington, D.C. As a mental health professional, I have over 15 years of experience working in the field. I have clinical experience supporting individuals suffering in many different mental health areas regarding depression, anxiety, interpersonal relationships, life transitions, challenges in work-life, family dynamic conflict and history of child abuse, sexual abuse, and domestic violence; to name a few.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who enjoys working to help individuals navigate and overcome difficult life experiences. I am always humble and appreciate that people allow me to come alongside them during their most challenging experiences. I enjoy working with individuals, couples or in group settings. My approach to treatment supports clients in reaching their goals while maintaining a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

I have nearly 20 years of professional experience providing clinical, relational, and spiritual help to others. My formal educational background is in theology and psychology and my professional focus is trauma informed, holistic and integrative. I employ a variety of mind-body-emotion modalities to help individuals meet their clinical, relational, and spiritual goals. The common issues I treat include: adjustment and life transitions, anxiety and depression, attachment related disorders, mood disorders, dissociative and trauma disorders (acute, chronic, and complex), grief, and healing from relational and spiritual abuses.

Mental illness has such a stigma that it prevents most from seeking the appropriate services that are needed. I provide services to individuals who find it difficult to participate in processing their issues; whether it is depression, anxiety, PTSD or parenting to individuals and families. In a non-threatening environment, one can discuss issues related to their difficulties functioning and relating to others. I also work with individuals with chronic and persistent mental illnesses. In addition, I am an approved Clinical Supervisor for Social Workers and Professional Counselors.

Welcome to Pathways 2 New Beginnings. My practice is specialized for individuals and couples who need support with coping skills, communication, life stressors, anxiety, and possibly a new direction in life. During our sessions, I will use a combination of CBT and SFBT, which focuses on a person's present and future circumstances and uses their strengths to work through presenting problems. During our initial session, I will help you develop a vision of your future and offer support as we determine the skills, solutions, resources, and abilities you need to achieve that vision successfully and resolve your presenting problem.

Most of my clinical experience has been providing couples therapy and adult psychotherapy. I believe you should feel comfortable with the therapist you choose and hopeful about the therapy. Beneficence Center for Counseling provides online therapy in Maryland and Washington, DC. I spent many years as an educator in public schools and as a counselor. Now I have the privilege to devote my full time to mental health counseling. My focus is to help families and individuals navigate through life's challenges.
