I see mainly couples in my practice, though I also conduct three adult therapy groups, two all-female groups and one all-male group. I sometimes see individual adults for relationship issues, family issues, parenting issues as well as depression/anxiety symptoms. I work with people from a differentiation perspective, emphasizing each person's willingness and potential for growth. This is a non-pathological, strength-based perspective. I deal with couples' intimacy issues openly and directly. I usually work with couples more intensively in 2-hour sessions every other week. Therapy begins immediately in the first session.

I hail from Washington DC, and my journey hasn't been a fairy tale. I am well-acquainted with adversity, trauma, and the challenges of mental health. These experiences have propelled me toward a path of community service, utilizing my extensive knowledge and expertise to support those grappling with their own struggles. When your mental health is compromised, it affects every facet of your life—personal, family, and business relationships all bear the impact of unresolved issues. In my therapeutic approach, the focus is entirely on you, the client, working collaboratively to achieve your goals and enhance your mental well-being.

My ideal client is someone who feels stuck in patterns of behavior or thinking that have been with them for years, often unconsciously influencing their relationships and sense of self. They may struggle with feelings of anxiety, depression, or dissatisfaction in their personal or professional lives, often wondering why they repeat the same unfulfilling cycles. They might find themselves grappling with unresolved past experiences, particularly those involving early attachment, that continue to shape how they relate to others. Their needs are deep, seeking relief from symptoms and a deeper understanding of their inner world.

My ideal client is someone who may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure. They may struggle with anxiety, depression, self-harm, or suicidal ideations and need support navigating through those feelings. They need a safe and non-judgmental space to be fully seen and heard to unpack their experiences, gain insight into themselves, and explore healthier coping methods. Their goals may be focused on self-awareness, emotional regulation, and meaningful relationships. Ultimately, my client wants to feel more grounded and confident in who they are. They want to live a life with more clarity and authenticity.
