Karla Fleshman, LCSW, MDiv, TCYM II; and has a special focus toward serving LGBTQ+ folx, their family and friends. Each therapist has a trauma informed focus with unique specializations. Rev. Karla has been an LCSW for over 30 years (ordained clergy for 25 years) bringing her expertise in supervision and training to this team of skilled therapists. She is a certified EMDR therapist pursuing an advanced certificate in dissociative studies through the Institute for Creative Mindfulness.
Rev. Karla's areas of specialization include: gender dysphoria, religious trauma, supporting parents who struggle with kiddos coming out LGBTQ, medical trauma, and dissociative features. She uses an integrated approach: somatic, mindfulness, trauma conscious yoga method (TCYM), "parts work", and EMDR.
Our team of therapists work well with persons of all sexual orientations and gender identities, with parents struggling to affirm/accept their lgbtq+ kiddo, with persons/families who wants to engage the therapeutic journey with a goal of Transformation. Counseling Services to provide compassionate and ethical clinical counseling. Consultation Sessions to area schools, fellow clinical practices, and businesses who wish to create safer, more supportive environments for LGBTQ+ youth, young adults and their families. Personalized Training which provides introductory, intermediate and advanced professional development to help increase participants LGBTQ+ cultural responsibility and skills.
