I specialize in helping individuals navigate major life changes or transitions. This might include getting married or divorced, caring for a partner or relative, welcoming a new child, changing jobs or careers, getting older, mid-life uncertainty, losing a loved one. These types of changes can feel destabilizing and create anxiety or depression, even if the change is something you want. Many clients come in saying they feel stuck and don't know what to do anymore. Talking through these life events and understanding how they affect you can help reduce the worry and uncertainty, making it easier to think clearly and make decisions.

I earned my Ph.D. from the University of Delaware in 2001, and I have been a practicing psychologist since that time. Over the years I have had the privilege of working with a wide range of children, teens, and adults with varying life stressors and mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, parenting concerns, or work/school stress.

Hello! I am Dr. Ritchie I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist in three states and I specialize in treating anxiety, OCD, trauma, and chronic stress. Anxiety and depression can come to dominate our lives and feel so overwhelming that even everyday tasks seem impossible. I have a strong background in evidence-based psychotherapy and use modern treatments to assist you in breaking unhelpful habits. I have been treating clients through individual psychotherapy for 7 years and I take an active, collaborative approach to treatment.

An ideal client, is an unideal person. If humans were perfect they wouldn't need therapy. I work with individuals, couples & families with a range of issues. I help people address unskilled thoughts, emotions &/or behaviors, helping them let go of things that are no longer serving them. If an individual desires to grow by developing their sense of awareness, while developing skills to help them lower their stress levels & address their issues, I can help. I work with all mental health conditions, or stress related issues. No issue is too small or too big for therapy. I am here to support others in their goals & personal growth.

Michael graduated from Bryn Mawr College with a Masters in Social Work, and employed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for past 26 years. He provides therapy to individuals, couples, families. Michael engages each client in identifying his/her need and discovering a better path forward.
