In my 30 plus years of practice, I have devoted most of my time to the treatment of adolescents and adults of all ages. I have particular expertise in the area of mood and anxiety disorders, eating disorders, chronic illness and headache disorders, as well as life transitions. As well as treating individuals, I also do parent counseling and marital therapy. My approach incorporates a blending of psychodynamic theory, cognitive-behavioral strategies and psychoeducation. A thorough assessment of each patient helps me to formulate a plan that is individualized and focused on accomplishing specific goals.
I have specific interest in the treatment of women of all ages and the issues that they face across the life span. I also have expertise in the treatment of adolescent problems as well as difficulties in the parent-child relationship. I am able to continue treatment with teens who attend college in certain states because i am credentialed to do so by PsyPact
In my clinical work, I am very thorough in gathering information and understanding each patient as accurately as I can. This is critical so that I can create a treatment plan that will help patients achieve symptom relief and more satisfying lives.
