As a psychologist, I help people explore their thoughts, feelings and relationships in a supportive environment. I enjoy collaborating with people to identify their strengths, while working to change behaviors and attitudes that are no longer effective. Often people come to therapy because they are not able to follow through with goals, even though they really want to change. It is my goal to help them understand the emotional obstacles that are keeping them "stuck," and options for making the changes they desire. I encourage clients to become more intentional in their choices and to take steps towards change.
I am very comfortable working with college students and adults of various ages. Currently, I see clients with various presenting issues including depression, anxiety, eating disorders, relationship issues, LGBTQ issues, infertility, family of origin concerns, life transitions, and grief/loss. I have over 22 years experience working with eating disorders.
Most people would describe me as warm, honest, and supportive. My sense of humor is an asset in my clinical work and I am a very authentic person in my interactions with clients. I love being a therapist and helping people to become more comfortable with themselves and others.
