I strongly believe that a relational connection is the foundation to creating long-term, therapeutic change. My approach includes utilizing validation and empathy, curiosity, and therapeutic challenging in a way that feels manageable, and helps me meet the client where they’re at. I want my clients to leave the office feeling empowered, hopeful, and having a new perspective of their perception of the world.

With over 25 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I bring expertise in relationship work and addictions treatment. I work exclusively in creating and strengthening romantic relationships. For couples, I offer Emotionally Focused Therapy—bringing out deep emotional connections that last beyond simply ending conflict. For singles, I offer relationship and dating coaching services. I’ll help with creating and using dating apps, building confidence in dating skills and relationship creation. I am LGBTQ+ affirming.

I am a licensed Psychologist who works with children, teens, and young adults. I offer therapy and evaluation services. I commonly work with clients with attention problems, disruptive behavior, anxiety, depression, and trouble with social skills. I have specialties in working with families with young children (3-5 years) and supporting youth with bullying experiences. I provide services in person and virtually.

I have extensive clinical experience and training working with individuals struggling with identity, relational problems, family of origin issues, trauma, self-esteem, depression, anxiety and stress management. I work with you to help you identify patterns that no longer serve you and empower you to choose whether you shift those patterns as you become aware.

I like to think of therapy as a place to inspire people to do better, to want better, to create better and to live better. My ultimate goal is for my clients to walk out feeling empowered and courageous about obstacles that may come their way. Arika Moody, LMFT is a Philadelphia Native who strives to service the community she grew up in, and to provide them with affordable therapeutic supports and resources. She has spent her college years in Syracuse University and LaSalle University, where she obtained a B.S. in Child and Family Studies and a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy. She has been dedicated to continuing to learn new ways to be effective in treating her clients and providing holistic treatment that includes processing, validation, and skill building.

When working with my clients, I address problems related to difficult life transitions, anxiety, depression, self esteem, relationships, career, and parenting effectiveness.
