I help teens, college students, and adults in PA, NY and NJ, who are struggling with anxiety, emotional overwhelm, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and relationship patterns rooted in childhood or attachment trauma. Many of my clients appear high-functioning but feel exhausted, disconnected, or unsure of who they are beneath constant pressure to perform. Therapy focuses on emotional regulation, trauma recovery, identity development, and building healthy boundaries using evidence-based approaches, including DBT. Sessions provide a supportive space to slow down, gain insight, and develop a more grounded, authentic way of living.

My sessions are relaxed and real. I swear, use dark humor, and won’t make you pretend you’re fine. You’re probably tired of holding it all together, maybe stuck in old patterns, burnt out, or wondering if your brain’s just wired differently (hi, ADHD, autism, or something else). You want less pressure, more clarity, and to actually feel like yourself again, to be calmer, lighter, and able to handle whatever’s next.

There is a surge in mental health needs in our country. No one is immune from being impacted by what life has to offer. Sometimes we just need to be able to talk to someone who is not emotionally involved in our situation(s). Sometimes we need someone to help us sort out our emotions. Sometimes we need someone to teach us to handle situations, emotions, relationships, life. Sometimes we need to be heard. To be validated in our emotions. Therapy can provide this and so much more.

I have been practicing since 2014 and have worked in a variety of contexts within the scope of therapy- ranging from children, couple's work, adults, teenagers, and the aging population. I deliver an authentic approach to therapy that punctuates the importance of the relationship between client and therapist as the primary mechanism for change. I believe all clients deserve to be met with dignity and respect and try to convey that in sessions.

The first appointment will involve an evaluation of your needs and goals. What you hope to accomplish will direct the course of treatment. As we work together you can expect to gain better self-understanding through thought-provoking dialogue and reflection. The therapeutic process sometimes requires talking about difficult subjects or having challenging conversations so compassion, honesty, and respect will be guiding principles during those times.

I find meaning in working with adults and couples who feel chronically anxious, emotionally overwhelmed, or unsure of their direction in life. Many of my clients are thoughtful, self-aware individuals who have spent years feeling misunderstood—by their families, partners, or even themselves. I often support clients navigating neurodivergence (ADHD, ASD, AuDHD), attachment wounds and the long-term impact of emotionally immature or critical parents. Transitions such as college to adulthood, relationship changes, aging parents, grief and loss, and midlife reassessment are common themes in my work.

I have been an experienced licensed professional counselor for 16 years. Providing empathy, compassion and support, is part of my fundamental belief system. Everyone has a story to tell and to be heard! I provide a non-judgmental environment for clients to feel safe and respected. My approach to mental wellness is eclectic at times, as I try to meet my client "where they are" for treatment.

As a licensed mental health therapist, my approach bridges spirituality, psychology, mindfulness, and neuroscience in a compassionate, trauma-informed, and non-hierarchical way. I believe healing does not come from becoming “more evolved” than your humanity, but from learning how to meet your inner experience with awareness, self-compassion, and nervous system safety. My work integrates evidence-based therapeutic approaches with mindfulness, somatic awareness, attachment theory, parts work, and contemplative practices to support you in developing deeper self-understanding and emotional resilience.

If you’re neurospicy and you know it...grab a fidget? Or something like that. You're probably tired of trying to function in systems that weren’t built for you. Your exhausted from masking how hard adulting is in an attempt to shove yourself into a neurotypical box. OR your nervous system is so incredibly fried from past trauma that you're ready to run for the hills. Whether its Trauma, ADHD, or some completel different... Together, we will work to make sense of your experiences, identify triggers, and build tools that actually work for your brain and nervous system — not someone else’s idea of how you “should” function.

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.

Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?

Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.

Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

How much does therapy cost?

The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, a therapy session in the United States could cost between $100 and $200 or more. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.

What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?

Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.

Are therapy sessions confidential?

Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship. Therapists in the United States are bound by the regulations set out by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), which aims to protect sensitive health information. With very few exceptions, a therapist will only discuss their client with others when the client has given their written permission. The instances in which a therapist would be required to disclose personal information are: if a client poses a danger to themselves or others, if the therapist suspects the abuse of a child or an elderly or otherwise dependent adult, or if they are legally forced to by court order. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed with a client before their first session.
