These are difficult times. So much is in flux that it may seem too much to address on your own. You may be confronting things at this time that have been nagging at you for a while. Or, you may want to better express yourself or have more satisfying relationships. You may be facing a difficult time in your life and recognizing that you can't go it alone. We can work together to explore your past and the possible impact it is having on your present situation. We can create new options. Or we can explore ways to feel more attuned to your own interests and desires. Whatever your goals may be having a person to work with can help.

Welcome! I'm glad you're here. Have you ever heard of the phrase, "if it's not broken, don't fix it?" Sometimes, we may feel like we need to be fixed. As a therapist, I encourage my clients to come as they are, and offer a warm, open, and safe space for therapy. I believe in collaborating with my clients to create solutions together; not to "fix" them, but to enhance their skills, provide encouragement, and support them in building confidence to live their life to the fullest potential. I work with both individual clients and families seeking services. I also offer LPC supervision for pre-licensure therapists.

Life can feel overwhelming at times—especially when anxiety, depression, trauma, or addiction start to take over the space you need to breathe, connect, and grow. I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults of all ages who are ready to move toward healing and a greater sense of balance in their lives. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based care. Drawing from CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed practices, I work to create a safe and affirming space where you can explore your experiences, identify patterns that no longer serve you, and build new skills for resilience and self-compassion.

OCD can feel debilitating, "crazy," and can induce shame or guilt because oftentimes symptoms aren't understood; however, I want to assure folks that there is nothing crazy or shameful about experiencing OCD. It's impact on your life can change, and the first step is taking the plunge with ACT and ERP treatment. This is a collaborative process where we identify and work with your values and needs and adapt them into gradual exposures (or challenges) to your OCD. We may even add some humor to the mix to laugh at fears too, if that's something you'd also be interested in, because if we can laugh at our fear, we aren't stuck!

A common misconception about therapy is that it is only for those who “need” it. Healing and growth belong to everyone, and therapy never decides who is deserving of that journey. My therapy sessions will consist of an environment that is open, warm, nonjudgmental, and validating. My judgment-free space is designed to help you process and conquer whatever is taking up mental real estate. My goal is to guide you toward understanding the hidden cognitive and behavioral patterns that shape your life. You deserve support and I strive to always be in your corner rooting for you!

I specialize in helping adults and couples understand and heal the impact of trauma. Many of the people I work with are high-functioning and capable, yet feel overwhelmed, emotionally reactive, or stuck in relationship patterns that don’t make sense. Trauma is not always a single event — it can be a series of experiences that shape how you see yourself and relate to others. These patterns often continue long after the original experiences have passed.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, it's my goal to help you feel respected and create a safe environment for you to share whatever you need to during therapy. It is my intention to empower you, strengthen your individuality, help to strengthen your belief that you have great worth, and that you can overcome traumatic events and memories. We are more than the thoughts we have that we're ashamed of, we're more than the worst moments of our lives, much more than our mistakes, and in my practice, I respect the courage it takes to be vulnerable, honest, and open to new ways of thinking.

A person acts and reacts based on their knowledge, experiences and the world in which they live. That tells me that each person is unique. I utilize elements of many techniques to help individuals better understand themselves and the situations they have been in and are currently in. We can't change our past or others. However, we can gain knowledge, insight and skills to improve ourselves and help us cope with what we can't change. My goal is to aid you in identifying and learning skills to help you grow and live a happier life.

Are you a parent who feels like nothing you try is working? You may be dealing with challenging behaviors, emotional outbursts, anxiety, or defiance—and despite your best efforts, you feel exhausted and discouraged. Some parents face these struggles during pregnancy or after birth, navigating perinatal anxiety or depression. Others are parenting through divorce or separation. When family life feels strained and transitions feel overwhelming, many parents quietly wonder, “Why is this so hard?” or “Am I failing my child?” Left unaddressed, these challenges can impact connection, emotional regulation, and long-term family relationships

Hi, I'm really glad you're here. Thinking of starting therapy can feel really intimidating, especially if you're used to handling things on your own or talking yourself out of needing support. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, self-aware, and highly capable in a lot of areas of life, but internally struggle with anxiety, depression, self-doubt, relationship stress, overthinking, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. I hope to help you reconnect with parts of yourself, your personal goals, and what's most important to you.

How can I find a therapist in 15003?

Search for nearby therapists or counselors by inputting your city, town, or suburb; or zip code; or a provider’s name into the search bar. From there, you can filter providers by the issues they treat, cost, insurance, gender, and other factors to find providers who are well-suited to your needs. To navigate between locations within the same country, enter a new city or zip code into the search bar.

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.

Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?

Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.

Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

How much does therapy cost?

The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, a therapy session in the United States could cost between $100 and $200 or more. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.

What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?

Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.

Are therapy sessions confidential?

Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship. Therapists in the United States are bound by the regulations set out by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), which aims to protect sensitive health information. With very few exceptions, a therapist will only discuss their client with others when the client has given their written permission. The instances in which a therapist would be required to disclose personal information are: if a client poses a danger to themselves or others, if the therapist suspects the abuse of a child or an elderly or otherwise dependent adult, or if they are legally forced to by court order. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed with a client before their first session.
