Life is hard, isn't it?! We simply cannot avoid stress and painful experiences. However, we can develop effective coping skills to reduce our suffering and to develop meaning. I believe that effective treatment consists of helping clients to balance both acceptance and change- by learning to live alongside what is beyond our control, while making the necessary changes in our lives to reach our true potential.

Not accepting new clients at this time. Life is challenging and at times it can feel overwhelming. Maybe you're facing difficult choices and a future filled with uncertainty or perhaps you're carrying burdens from your past that are hard to reconcile. Sometimes tried and true methods of coping just seem to come up short. If you've been struggling with issues like anxiety, depression, relationships, or other personal challenges, then navigating alone, without help, can be very difficult.

In my practice, I have worked with a variety of clients. I have found people struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, and codependency to be some of the kindest people I know. They outwardly seem to be happy, have everything together and can have successful lives. People are managing work and family, they juggle busy lives and are doing the best they can for those they love. Inwardly, life can be hard, challenging and at times overwhelming. I have been able to help people work through these issues and more. Helping you learn more about yourself, gain new coping skills and finding your way to a better life.

Suffering is a normal and unavoidable part of human experience. It is our attempt to control or avoid our own painful experiences that can, at times, lead us to suffering beyond what is necessary. If we can learn ways to let go of the struggle to hold onto the pain, while becoming more present in our daily lives, we get move towards the life we say we want.

Hi there! I'm Diandra, a bilingual (Spanish/English) psychodynamic psychotherapist who blends cognitive behavioral therapy with narrative and solution-focused therapy in my practice. In our work together, I prioritize relationship building as I believe the more my clients feel comfortable, safe and heard in our conversations the more effective our work will be.
