I believe that healing starts with a strong therapeutic relationship and focus on establishing an accepting, warm environment filled with trust and free of judgement. This foundational relationship and your courage and willingness allow for deep exploration into your inner world. As a client, you will take an active role in the therapeutic process and together, we'll aim to awaken the autopilot that many of us default to and move towards living life more intentionally and authentically. Through compassionate and curious exploration, we will bring mindful awareness to patterns that may be interfering with your life.

My service – Jungian analysis – covers your concerns about mood, relationships, sex and sexuality, creativity issues, compulsions, coping with change or loss, lack of passion, disorganization, or effects of neglect, abuse or trauma. Whereas counseling covers such concerns by aiming at rehabilitation, improved coping or solving problems in functioning, my service goes deeper, aiming at self-acceptance, clarity, balance and authenticity. We would boldly explore dreams, fantasies or whatever else your soul expresses, sensitive to cruel injustice within society, your work setting, your relationships and especially within your psyche.

Many people are feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or unable to cope in today's world. Seeking support is the first step on a heaing journey. For over 25 years I've worked with clients who have been experiencing a variety of challenges. My primary focus has been with people who have substance abuse problems or their loved ones. Most have underlying trauma expressing itself in a multitude of ways; anxiety, depression, body image, substance abuse, & self harm. Trauma and loss have increased in our current world. As a response, I've expanded my client base to address the myriad losses, and the resulting trauma many people are facing today.

Relationship strain, communication issues, PTSD, anxiety, trauma, mistrust of happiness and feelings of depression are some of the experiences I help you heal from. I work with folks whose past pains are inhibiting present fulfillment within relationships and quality of life. We work together to navigate stressors and responsibilities they are expected to keep up with, while managing past pains to relearn safety on their current path. I treat the person as a whole- meaning in addition to your psyche, I also take into account your environmental, circumstantial, and physical self and how that impacts your mental health overall.

You do not have to deal with issues alone. Speaking with someone can be relieving if you allow the experience to be. To be aware is to be alive, you don't have to control your thoughts, you just have to stop letting your thoughts control you.

Anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma are some of the most challenging issues to live with. In my work with couples, families, and individuals I've had the opportunity to help guide my clients through these struggles and begin experiencing more fulfilling lives. I also have experience working with individual clients on body-image related issues and deconstructing the standard idea of beauty. If these issues are relatable to you, please know you are not alone. It is extremely courageous to take this first step to seek help and guidance.

You are more than what has happened to you. What you do today matters most. I affirm that every session is a gift the client gives to themselves towards their self-discovery and care. I have over 10 years of experience working with diverse and underserved populations. Working closely with children, adolescents, and adults across the lifespan has provided me with a lens in which I approach the work from a strengths-based focus that is accessible and allows the client to gain small insights over time. My areas of specialty include trauma/abuse, anxiety, life transitions, relationship issues, disordered eating and body image issues.

We may wisely withdraw, or hold, around moments of threat and overwhelm. But if holding becomes our automatic way of being, even as circumstances change, we may feel increasingly disconnected and less alive. By slowing down, giving ourselves time to notice changes in our experience, we can explore different responses. As we make space in our immediate (experience, relationship and environment) for what is happening now, we can experiment with holding less. And, as we engage our bodies without as much holding, our possibilities for moving, breathing, feeling alive and in relationship to what is beyond us - widen.
