The decision to enter therapy is not always easy. Choosing a therapist can also be difficult. I believe that the relationship between patient and therapist is one of the most important components in a person's treatment. I often refer to the therapy process as a playground because a playground is a safe place to explore and learn; so is therapy. Together we will explore and better prepare you to handle the emotions and difficulties that brought you to therapy. I specialize in working with childhood difficulties and bereavement, although my training is diverse.

I work with children, adolescents and adults. When working with children, I use special play therapy techniques, allowing children to alleviate their symptoms. When working with adolescents, I help with problem solving and expression. I work closely with the child/adolescent's parents to provide support and guidance.

I let adult patients take the lead when I work with them, helping to develop insight into their lives so they can understand themselves fully. With these tools, they are more prepared to handle stress and any difficulties; subsequently able to create positive change.
