I view therapy as something that is necessary for mental wellness; a process that can be useful at different life stages, or during certain periods of high stress. I enjoy helping others navigate through the various challenges that life often brings. I work with adolescents and adults struggling mainly with anxiety, depression, and/or stress.

Are you Asian American and achieved all that you've been raised to accomplish? You've reached career success and now what? Have you been struggling to feel happy? If you're a child of immigrants, you were taught to have a driven work ethic and to achieve all that your parents wanted for you. Less so were you taught how to be happy, how to know yourself fully, balance personal desires vs. familial obligations, and cope with emotional and relational stress. Are you noticing patterns in your family that have been passed down through generations? Are you ready to heal these wounds?

As a Jewish American therapist, I place the intersections of identity at the forefront of my practice because identity frames who we are and how we experience the world. Additionally, adults of Childhood Sexual Abuse know it can negatively impact every area of your life. This type of trauma can lead to isolation, guilt, shame, sexual problems, depression, anxiety, relationship troubles and so much more. It is time to take back your life. I can help you break free from the hold your past abuse still has on you today. Together we can explore new interventions and tools, develop new skills and rewrite your narrative. You deserve this!

I provide somatic therapy to adults who experienced child abuse, or childhood emotional neglect. Abuse comes in many forms—physical, sexual, emotional—and your experience may be a combination of these. Many of my clients wouldn't necessarily say that they were abused, but they grew up in extremely dysfunctional families, with parents who were emotionally volatile, immature, or abusing substances (or some combination of these). If you grew up in this kind of family, you may struggle with chronic anxiety, poor sense of self, people-pleasing, and difficulty feeling safe in relationships. I'm hear to help you with those issues.

Therapy is about holding space for ALL of our experience. We do this through the wisdom of the body and the right brain, the emotional and creative brain. Leading trauma experts agree that we need to heal in collaboration with this intuitive, expressive part of ourselves. So in addition to traditional talk therapy, let's explore what you need through guided visualization, breath work, body talk, creative expression, role play, inner child work, and more. It all starts with your willingness to get to know all parts of you.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and EMDR-trained therapist accepting individuals and families for therapy. I strive to create a space where people feel comfortable expressing themselves honestly and it’s possible to better understand, navigate, and heal from challenging experiences over time. It's important to me to acknowledge the impact of socioeconomic and historical conditions on people’s lives. I am particularly committed to supporting people of color and others from marginalized communities to overcome trauma and hardships, and to experience more joy, love, and fulfillment in their lives.

I am a clinical psychologist who combines my 30 years’ experience in learning disabilities, executive skill assessment, and psychotherapy to help children, teens and parents figure out solutions to school related difficulties. Coping with school frustration often leads to anxiety and so my psychotherapy practice includes treatment of anxiety disorders and parent support. I provide consultations and neuropsychological assessments for parents seeking a clearer understanding of their child's learning and social emotional needs. I also use humor and customized interventions in treating children and adults.

Working for two decades with individuals and couples has continually shown me the value of therapy, and I have abundant respect for the courage it takes to seek help. I integrate relational, mindfulness, EFT, IFS and other talk therapy perspectives and, when it feels right for my clients, EMDR and Somatic Experiencing. These latter two modalities address trauma as well as many other areas of life. A certified EMDR consultant, I facilitate trainings and provide individual/group supervision for fellow therapists working with EMDR.

My goal is to create a space for you to feel deeply understood. I believe that compassionate connection is the foundation of healing and understand that it takes a great deal of courage and trust to engage in therapy. During the process of psychotherapy, I will help you to uncover your strengths, better understand the factors that may contribute to destructive behaviors, and articulate the thoughts, feelings, and memories that may be keeping you stuck in patterns that no longer serve you.

I believe it’s a privilege to be part of a process that helps clients identify strategies that can lead to a more fulfilling life and uncover a greater sense of freedom and agency. I believe that therapy must involve exploring and integrating clients’ cultural context and identities in understanding their lived experiences and addressing their concerns. I have extensive experience working collaboratively with clients of diverse backgrounds to identify goals of treatment and explore meaningful, culturally relevant, psychodynamic and other innovative evidence-based interventions.
