Hi! I’m Kennysha, but you can call me Kenny. I am a licensed master social worker (LMSW) at Amira for Them. I am currently offering psychotherapy under clinical supervision. I believe talk therapy is a way to connect to the depths of us that we hold precious. While these parts of us have been safely tucked away, exploring them with an experienced guide, we can create room for acceptance of our full self. Whether we manage anxious thoughts, low moods, repetitive habits, low self esteem, there is space for our humanity shine and for us to overcome.

Life is amazing yet difficult. We are always adapting to change, whether they want to or not. These adaptations can take a toll on us, which is why it's always important to check in on you, yeah, the inner you, and make sure that "you" are okay. That is why seeking a therapist is a top priority. I provide support for individuals, couples, families, and groups. I support all individuals and am an Ally for inclusivity regarding race, religion, ability, gender, sexuality, body type, and age. I also have experience working with Neurodivergent individuals, both verbal vocal and non-verbal vocal. I work with adults and adolescents.

Are you navigating racial trauma, identity shifts, or the intersections of culture, sexuality, and spirituality? I work with thoughtful, growth-oriented adults (18+) ready to explore patterns, build emotional accountability, and create change. Many clients are cycle-breakers tired of code-switching, shrinking themselves, and carrying generational weight alone. My approach is trauma-informed, holistic, culturally grounded blending of evidence-based practices with identity-affirming care. I also facilitate Parent Support Village for parents, caregivers/guardians, and Regulated & Resilient for child-facing educators who are burnt out.

In a city of many, it's easy to lose your voice, question your skills, or doubt your ability to grow. On top of this, sometimes the most challenging decision is allowing yourself to feel deserving of the space to receive support. This is where I come in. I firmly believe that each person is their own expert, and that with a relationship built on mutual trust, compassion, and collaboration, we're all capable of moving toward flexibility with self-acceptance and change. I recognize that in a trusting relationship we can allow ourselves to redefine our intersecting identities, relationships with others, and relationship with self.

Do you find yourself stuck in your head and not feeling like yourself, no matter what you do? You’re someone who is thoughtful and self-aware, yet you still feel stuck, unsure, and like you should have it all figured out by now but don’t. Maybe this is showing up in your relationships, your decisions, or just in your day-to-day life—bottom line, things feel off and harder than they should. But you’re ready for a change—to start feeling calmer and less in your head. You’re ready to feel more confident about what you want and and who you are. Most of all, you’re ready to trust yourself again. I’d love to help you get there.

I am passionate about engaging clients around their racial, gender, and sexual identities and specifically enjoy working with Black folks across the gender, sexuality, and size spectrums. I also have significant experience in working with adolescents and teens, and those with experiences of emotional, physical, and sexual trauma, family conflict, relationship issues, and intimate partner/gender-based violence. In all that I do, I operate from a healing centered, anti-oppressive, and intersectional lens. I believe that every person is worthy of healing and that our healing comes from within.

India R. Douglas, LCSW: I founded Pathway to Self to help others reach a deeper understanding of past traumas and provide tangible tools to move forward. Pathway to Self is a therapy platform that not only allows others to connect with themselves but through finding themselves they will be able to form stronger connections with others. Our understanding is that only when we find the “pathway to self” can we forge a pathway to “us” (or “we”). By helping people towards becoming the best versions of themselves, creating a safe space to express emotions of any kind. In a space where you are heard, validated, and affirmed.

My name is Toi-Shareema Grayson. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your journey. I am a proud Black African American raised by my mom, grandmother, uncle, and aunt, whom were all instrumental in my rearing. Surrounded by hard working family is where I gained my reliable work ethic, as well as my passion to work with people. Transitioning into counseling working directly with people just made sense to me. If you are ready to unpack your concerns, work through your challenges, set goals for yourself, and begin your healing process congratulations on taking your first step.

There’s nothing I find more gratifying than helping my clients redefining purpose in their lives. While we are in a constant struggle with the expectations of others, we often lose sight of who we are ourselves. We negotiate, toil, and sacrifice—sometimes without even knowing why. That’s why as a counselor, I specialize in navigating conflict and transitions within careers, relationships, and self-esteem to help clients regain ownership and rediscover meaning in life.
