I am a school/community psychologist with extensive training in evidence-based psychotherapies, including CBT, DBT, and ACT. I teach strategies and educate individuals on issues of social and emotional health. I have worked extensively with children, performing neuro/psychoeducational evaluations to promote their school and overall functioning and working to help build their coping repertoire and emotional intelligence ("EQ"). I have specific training and expertise in understanding gifted children, twice-exceptional clients, and ADHD/executive functioning challenges.
When I work with children, I utilize a normalizing, non-stigmatizing approach. I often refer to myself as a teacher and use teaching tools and various methods to impart knowledge and facilitate growth. I also developed a learning center where I work with teachers to teach children skills and promote their ability to succeed.
