Our therapeutic relationship will always be most important to me; It is very important to me that you feel safe, heard, and supported. You know your mind and body better than anyone else in the world, and I will always encourage your intuition and inner strength to lead the way. Together, we will uncover and unlearn all that is no longer yours to hold onto. During our work together, you can expect to experience an increase in self-esteem, self-trust, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, self-acceptance, self-compassion, confidence and empowerment, boundaries, lifestyle, self-talk, and self-care.

Feel like you're taking one step forward and two steps back in your self-care practice? I specialize in working with professionals navigating trauma exposure, burnout, and moral injury (the struggle to help others within systems that fail them). I understand that the personal, political, and professional are deeply intertwined. Together, we'll uncover patterns, clarify your values, and examine the tradeoffs you're making as you move beyond just surviving to thriving in a world that is burning, literally and figuratively.

I believe that what often causes the most pain is this: while we are generally doing the best that we can, our best just isn't good enough. This kind of situation creates frustration and despair and can lead to giving up or giving in. Further, when we keep the issue to ourselves, or confide in others who may be well-meaning but are similarly emotionally connected, we deprive ourselves of the opportunity to see different perspectives, learn new coping skills, and to either improve the situation (if that's possible) or accept it in a way that brings peace rather than pain. I work with clients to explore all of these strategies.

Having grown up in Lebanon and upon completing my master's degree and PhD in Psychopathology and Clinical Psychology at the University of Sorbonne in Paris, I embraced multiple cultures as well as various approaches to psychotherapy. I worked and trained with women around the age of menopause as well as middle aged men. I also worked with children and adolescents. I was trained in many forms of the talking cures but mainly in psychodynamic psychotherapy. I am fluent in English, Arabic and French.

Imagine a life in which your painful memories no longer keep you stuck, but instead give you power and strength - a life in which you're able to do the things you want to do, and work towards achieving your aspirations. This is the goal of many of my clients and I have been fortunate enough to see many of them succeed. Many of the clients that I work with have gone through overwhelming experiences that they feel still have control over their lives. Many of them are dealing with anxiety, depression, and PTSD, and some just need a little help through a difficult change in their life.

Life can feel overwhelming when anxiety depression and personal issues take up too much space. My goal is to empower clients to face life’s challenges with clarity and confidence. My approach is grounded in compassion, inclusivity, and collaboration—I believe therapy works best when you feel truly seen and understood. Drawing from both Humanistic and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approaches, I help clients build awareness, challenge unhelpful patterns, and reconnect with their strengths to create meaningful change.

Individuals and couples who come into therapy are often experiencing some struggle in their life. In therapy with you, my goal is to address these immediate concerns, explore with you how they may stem from longer-term unmet concerns, and work with you toward more effective management and if possible, resolution. My clinical orientation is psychodynamic and interpersonal, and we will also use other therapies including Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavioral for an eclectic, rounded treatment approach. I have advanced pyschoanalytic training in couples therapy which also informs work with individuals.

Your life is good on paper; however, behind your eyes you are running on high alert. Your mind constantly scanning, predicting, and problem-solving potential threats before you even notice. A tight chest, a clenched jaw, replaying past conversations, while watching for the next mistake. Everyone says how successful you are and yet you feel guilty, like your worth has to be earned again and again. You say yes when you want to say no, stay available when you are depleted, and left to feel the resentment within your bones. If you want calm, clarity, and a way to feel self-connected while still excelling, you are in the right place.
