As a therapist my goal is to help people who are experiencing challenges personally or interpersonally. Anxiety, depression, trauma and relationship issues can be extremely painful and can prevent us from reaching our full potential. My approach is a combination of the cognitive-behavioral model, which addresses current issues with a problem-solving approach, and a psychodynamic approach, which helps people make connections to their family history, dreams and life events to reach a deeper understanding of themselves. My style is interactive, collaborative, and I try to provide a safe, supportive environment for people to explore themselves and grow.
I like to keep my practice as general as possible. I enjoy working with people from all walks of life and in all stages of life. Most people come to me struggling with anxiety and/or depression, and often these symptoms are aggravated by work or relationship issues.
I have been in practice for over thirty years and believe I have made a difference in many peoples' lives. And I am still learning and growing myself in this rewarding work.
