I've maintained a psychotherapy private practice in Lower Manhattan for more than eighteen years, and about ten years ago moved to an office in a loft in TriBeCa. As a former corporate lawyer, I've developed a sub-specialty in working with attorneys and finance professionals around career issues, but I'm also gay and have worked with LGBT people and all sorts of other people around just about anything. I welcome one and all.
My approach is engaged, eclectic and integrative. My goal is to listen, and to care, and to engage. I won't sit in silence unless you need me to - I'll talk with you, about you.
I'm a Harvard grad, a former Wall Street attorney, and the author of four books related to psychotherapy. After leaving law, I worked as a marketing professional in the publishing world. Then I became a psychotherapist, after my own life was impacted profoundly by the experience of therapy.
