I emphasize a collaborative approach to treatment utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and when appropriate, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I am also trained in Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation (CES). I specialize in treating adults whose primary presenting problem involves Anxiety Disorders (e.g., Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Panic Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Phobias, Social Anxiety and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder). I have 30+ years of clinical experience (20+ in independent private practice). In addition to receiving numerous hours of post-doctoral training in the psychological treatment of Anxiety Disorders, I am a graduate of the Behavioral Therapy Training Institute sponsored by the International Obsessive Compusive Foundation, and the EMDR Institute.
I am a Professor in the Department of Psychology & Counseling at Georgian Court University. In addition to my teaching duties there, I have given numerous professional presentations and workshops on a wide variety of treatment-related topics.
