In my 19 years as a therapist, I have worked with a range of clients, such as co-dependency, anger, OCD, phobias, panic disorders, and PTSD & trauma with individuals, couples, and families, and I have learned every client is vastly different. One thing that is the same is that the goal for the client is always moving towards living kind of the life they want to live. What that looks like is different for everyone because we all have our own set of values. But the stronger our values, the harder it can be to accept ourselves and others in the world. I help clients find that balance for themselves!

Cognitive Change has been providing excellent service to each individual, couple, and family for over 12 years through the use of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for all ages. Our clients include all cultural, racial, gender, and economic backgrounds. All our therapists are either certified in CBT, TEAM-CBT, or DBT and are supervised by a certified CBT therapist. We work with co-dependency, anger, OCD, phobias, panic disorders, PTSD & trauma. Our goal with all clients is to learn how to move toward the life the client wants to live while accepting themselves and the world around them.

I help hardworking professionals who are struggling with past trauma to overcome their symptoms and improve their personal relationships. A traumatic experience takes many forms, including but not limited to: a move to a new country, a break-up, an abusive work environment, or a crime related trauma including domestic violence, sexual assault, and neglect. These traumatic experiences can feel like they're happening over and over even when you're not currently in them, leading to fear and lack of trust. You deserve better than that.

Hello. I believe that the relationship with the therapist is crucial to a good therapy outcome. My clients, both individuals and couples, tell me I'm warm and easy to talk with. Accepting new clients and can schedule in a week. There is a Psychiatrist in office if medication management is needed. I work with a diverse population of all ages. Most of my work as a therapist is with those who experienced trauma. I work with multiple issues that include depression, anxiety, self-esteem, trauma and PTSD. I am trained in EMDR and DBT and encourage my clients to create their own coping skills. He graduated from Rutgers University with both his undergraduate degree in Psychology and graduate degree in Clinical Social Work. Additionally, he earned a certificate in addiction counseling through completion of the Rutgers Addiction Certificate Training (ACT).

In a first meeting with a client, one of the most important parts of the session is to understand not only what brings a person into the office, “the problem” so to speak, but also to build out a framework of what the client believes will be the solution. What will it look like when things are better? Rather than pathologizing, I prefer to focus within the wellness model of counseling, identifying strengths and resources available to contribute toward a person’s personal counseling goals.
