I am a warm and compassionate Clinical Psychologist skilled in providing individual and family therapy to adults, adolescents, and children. Areas of expertise include Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Mindfulness based interventions to treat anxiety disorders such as OCD, Generalized Anxiety, Phobias, Social Anxiety, and Panic. I also have specialized training in treating Trauma and use Motivational Interviewing to help people develop motivation to make meaningful changes. Other specialties include parent training, child behavior management, and school intervention. I use evidence-based practices to help you achieve lasting growth.
I focus on developing collaborative relationships, and place your strengths and goals at the center of my practice. I care deeply about clients and appreciate the courage it takes to attend therapy. I strive to communicate respect by listening fully and requesting feedback about our work together. When working with children, I involve families and schools.
I trained at Harvard's McLean Hospital, at the Kennedy Krieger Behavior Management Clinic, and at the BU Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders. Parent Training for Child Behavior Management
This group is designed to help parents learn and practice skills for managing difficult child behaviors. Topics to be covered include setting and enforcing reasonable limits, giving effective instructions, managing daily routines (e.g., getting dressed, meal times, bed time), and play skills for relationship development. Parents will have opportunities to role play with peers, get feedback from therapist, and identify and problem solve specific issues they are experiencing at home with their children.
