NEW Group Starting April 2025 – ED (BED) Collaborating individually or in groups, we examine deeply embedded patterns that were once adapted to manage stress, fear, or anger but now undermine self-concept and overall well-being. The key isn’t just breaking habits but aligning body and mind to reshape identity while forging a stronger connection to the core self. Lasting change comes not from willpower but from shifting what keeps you stuck.

With over 25 years of experience in the mental health field, I work with a wide range of human difficulties. From individuals struggling with anxiety or depression, to young adults trying to find their way, when people ask me if I have a specialty, I often say that my specialty is human suffering. Throughout the years I have trained in a wide spectrum of modalities, ranging from cognitive-behavioral therapy, to attachment theory and advanced work with the subconscious mind. And sometimes just talking about an issue in a safe environment, giving it words, allows the next step towards a happier life.

My training and experience as a clinical social worker have taught me to, above all else, value providing secure and confidential psychotherapy to adolescents and adults. No two individuals or families are alike and, as a result, I utilize an eclectic treatment approach centered around psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and interpersonal neurobiology intervention strategies. Specialty areas of treatment include work with athletes and mental performance (see website link for more info on sports), chronic pain, weight-loss, anxiety, low self-esteem, depression and other mood disorders, family conflict, life transitions, and ADHD.

You’re doing "fine" on the outside—capable and high-functioning—but you carry a quiet feeling that there is more to life than just getting by. You aren’t looking for a label; you’re searching for the depth and clarity that feel just out of reach. I believe you aren't broken; you're simply waiting to be revealed. Much like Michelangelo’s David, the masterpiece of your life is already there. I use a fresh, outside-the-box lens to help you see the "missing pieces" and gently carve away the fears or old patterns that aren’t really you. Together, we’ll uncover the vibrant, natural state you’ve been longing for.

Leaving a toxic relationship is very, very difficult. Manipulation, gaslighting, coercion, shame, self-doubt and sense of a lost self can keep you trapped in the abuse. In these types of romantic and familial relationships, people are left feeling confused and selfish for having their own needs and convinced that they must make the other person happy at all costs. Even when people want to leave, the trauma bond ignites regions of the brain that cause you to feel out of control and "tied" to the relationship. Disengaging from this type of emotional tyranny is possible but requires a deep internal rewiring and grieving.
