I am trained and have experience in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

We are collectively experiencing trauma due to events like the pandemic, climate change, violence in our communities, and political strife. Trauma therapy techniques can help us explore how direct or indirect challenges are impacting our lives. Together, with kindness and compassion, we will gain a deep understanding of your life experience and identify, augment, and employ your strengths to the fullest. Individual growth and stability are possible when we are willing to look at all aspects of ourselves and apply that learning and understanding when navigating our lives in the chaotic world we live in.

As a learning disabled man, I am honored to work with neurodivergent and neurotypical people. I envision working with people, especially those on the autism spectrum, who have difficulty developing nourishing relationships, honoring themselves, and finding acceptance. I see my clients learning to sit with uncomfortable feelings and sensations, noticing their bodies, unmet needs, and humanity. From this, there is a shift from rejection to acceptance and holding. The body is no longer something to be avoided, but a home for healing, growth, and nourishment.

I provide a mindfulness, attachment, compassion, and body-based approach that makes and holds space for all parts of you-thoughts, emotions, body, sexuality, relationships, cultural experience, and inner wisdom. I'm trained in Mindfulness-Based Contemplative Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Experiencing (SE), Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples, and Relational Psychodynamic Therapy.
