My practice focuses on mind/body medicine and restoring balance naturally. Have you ever gone to the doctor because you felt unwell, but were told everything is normal? Or given medication based on symptoms that didn't make you feel better? In addition to clinical counseling, I work with clients to improve both physical and emotional wellness using evidence based approaches including acupuncture and nutritional guidance. Sound evidence supports how the gut (digestive system) impacts the brain and mood providing possible roots to unexplained symptoms.
I offer individual counseling with a specialty in substance use disorders, but work with all who want to feel better. I also offer fertility coaching and acupuncture treatments. Nutritional counseling and herbal medicine are other options with the goal of understanding how to use food to heal, balance hormones, create healthier habits and reduce stress.
I have been a social worker for 30 years (licensed in NY and CT). My approach to care focuses on educating and empowering clients to make positive changes in their lives to naturally improve not only emotional wellness, but also physical.
