Einstein defined insanity as doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results. Many of our pitfalls, our "relapses" in behavior, are related to maladaptive patterns with family or intimate partners. Our work in therapy is to understand these patterns and learn how to change them. If depression is dwelling in the past, and anxiety is living in the future, our therapeutic goal is to live in the present, towards a more authentic and mindful reality.

Finding a therapist can be so difficult. Who to choose? Who will understand me? Who will listen? Who be able to help me with what is going on? All of these questions are perfectly normal and part of the process. I am here to partner with you on this journey. We will work together to understand the problem and create a roadmap together.

My goal is not to “fix” or make you “forget” your trauma or illness, but to support and help you navigate through it in a way that allows you to feel in control and confident in yourself. My aim is to create an environment to work alongside you to identify goals, overcome obstacles, and explore new ways of thinking.

Worry. Panic attacks. Highly uncomfortable feelings of anxiety itself. In the past, these and other problems were very hard to treat. People would spend years in therapy with minimal improvement
