As a somatic, mindfulness, and nature-based mental health counselor, I work with individual adults in identifying and affirming gifts and strengths; finding and maintaining calm, connection, and contentment; and creating new patterns that encourage health, growth, and resilience through life’s changes. A session with me might include movement exploration (informed by dance/movement therapy, ecosomatics, and yoga), awareness and compassion building exercises (mindfulness and meditation), and therapeutic conversation.

Different problems force us to take stock in who we are and how we are living. We struggle through anxiety, sadness, trauma, loneliness; some of us have used unhealthy coping mechanisms to get by. Eventually, we come to learn that asking for help is one of the most powerful actions we can take.

I specialize in working with folks who, like all of us, are just trying their best muddling through life. My clients feel stuck-unable to get out of cycles and patterns that no longer serve them despite their best efforts. I work with folks who want to change their relationship with substances, process past or present traumas, and explore and expand their capacity to be human.
