Are you a new mom, dad, or partner, struggling with anxiety/depression or scary thoughts? Perhaps you have just been given a new health diagnosis and are struggling to come to terms with it? Or maybe you are a caregiver of someone who is sick or dying. My clients are looking for a deeply compassionate person to help them learn new ways to cope with life's big curveballs.

You may be seeking to increase intimacy or enhance a stable relationship (with yourself or others). Or maybe you're overcome with frustration/grief/sadness/anger as, despite efforts, you're stuck in repetitive behaviors or relationship patterns that can no longer be soothed, justified, or ignored. Perhaps you're single or in partnership, suffering from profound loneliness. I can help empower you (and partner(s) to awaken from toxic rules/expectations, and escape the prison of isolation, shame, blame, and silence. This angency allows for renewed capacity to give yourself, and those you love, compassion, acceptance, and freedom.

I have worked as a personal counselor since 1986 and as a licensed clinical social worker since 2004, working extensively with couples and individuals. While working together, you can expect understanding, clear and honest feedback, and, often, mutual laughter as we deal with our human imperfections. We will explore the causes behind your struggles, then implement action steps to help bring about the changes you're looking for. Most individuals or couples see me for six to eight weekly sessions, moving to less frequent sesions as they experience significant improvement in their personal and relational lives.

In my practice I help women gain new tools for coping and growing into a higher version of themselves. They are motivated for change and feeling an urge to start making different choices, but not quite sure how to do that. One of my clients calls me the "choice whisperer," because when I get involved suddenly they feel like they have so many more options for how to behave, when to stand up for themself, and when they are allowed to be vulnerable.

I believe that all individuals truly strive towards becoming the best version of themselves. Some individuals need the support of others in the process of either defining or redefining themselves, their goals, and their life pathway. At the current time, I am accepting tele-health clients.
